New ZONEALARM update question.

Seems there is a new version of Zonealarm. 2.6.231

Question is, do I remove my current version zonealarm then download the new one? I don't want to make my PC invulernable to those out there who like snooping.

I downloaded the new version, disconnected from the internet, uninstalled the old version, then installed the new version. Oddly, even though I had uninstalled the old version, it still asked me if I wanted it to use my previous settings.

Your old settings are saved in some hidden registry or file that wasn't wiped as part of the standard uninstall. Hence the old settings "reappearing."

ZA has been a crapshoot on one of my boxes. It works fine on my other ones though. Can't figure it out (a conflict somewhere).
