Well, I finally bought a CD burner. I'm fairly knowledgable w/ computers and I can build a system together and all that -- but I know almost nothing about burning CD's. I bought the drive (Sony Spressa 8x4x32) OEM, so I'll need some software.. Any recommendations? I'm also wondering which IDE controller I should put the rewritable drive on. Right now, I have one hard drive on the Primary and one DVD drive on the secondary. Also, is there any site w/ a good FAQ for these sort of questions?

your mb should have two IDE connectors. each will support two drives. one master and one slave each. it is recommended that your cdrw be a master drive. I would put the hard drive is the master on the primary connector, your cdrw as the master on the secondary connector, and your dvd drive as the slave on the secondary.

sony's site actually has a pretty good intro. info.

as for software. Nero is really, really good.
