Re: NFL + streaming service may be in the works
One of the things I liked about YouTube TV was being able to watch a game at work without wifi. I assume I can cast it to my TV if I'm home.

One thing to note, the service does not let you stream live local regular season and postseason games on your TV. You can only watch those on phones and tablets.

So not good to watch the local team if your reception is shitty. Why can't we get a service that lets us stream an out of market team, for those of us that follow teams other than our locals?

Otherwise the only other option is NFL Network Red Zone that hops around from the games. |

Re: NFL + streaming service may be in the works
I got NFL Plus today for free from work. They sent out an email to all staff and gave us a coupon code to redeem. it was the $79.99 per year premium plan.
The catalog NFL documentary content is not great. They do have things like A Football Life, past seasons of Hard Knocks, America's Team. There is a lot missing. You're not going to find old classic games from 30-40 years ago. Also, probably a lot of NFL documentary content is super dated, so it's possible it's probably not worth posting on the app. I'm going to wait and see how the service runs during the season. |

https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/dvdtalk...46cf7728c7.jpg Looking forward to checking out the service. BTW the link shows a price of $999.99 for the package 😂, but the coupon code they send drops the price to free. I think every season ticket holder in the NFL gets this deal, not just Raiders ones. |
Re: NFL Plus streaming service
I updated my Roku app and now it has NFL plus and I signed in.
As I said earlier, the plus content is light. The documentaries are missing a bunch of episodes. And they don’t have everything NFL Films related. I assume this is still a work in progress and will hopefully improve when the season starts. But hey it’s free for me and now Decker. on the plus side, the documentaries and news shows are now commercial free as opposed to Game pass, which had ads. |
Re: NFL Plus streaming service
I'm sorry, 80 bucks a year? I know that doesn't seem like much on a per month basis but man. The 30 dollar a year tier, which only loses you replays and coaches film, seems like a better deal.

The edited 45 minute games were pretty cool to watch later. |

The NFL is significantly expanding its direct-to-consumer footprint, adding NFL Network and the NFL RedZone channels to its NFL+ subscription offering. NFL Network will be added to the base tier of NFL+, which will see its monthly price rise from $4.99 per month to $6.99 per month. RedZone, meanwhile, will be available on a premium tier that also includes full and condensed game replays and other content for $14.99 per month. |
Re: NFL Plus streaming service
If it was cheaper than the YouTube TV RedZone tier, I would have signed up for it, but I can get RedZone for $10.99 a month via YouTube TV.
|
Re: NFL Plus streaming service
There is more to it
NFL Network airs both pre-season games, and has some exclusive games during the season. Those games will now be available directly from the league to consumers. Notably, NFL Network and RedZone will be available across all devices, and not limited to mobile devices like the live games. The channels will continue to be available via pay-TV providers as well. With the move, NFL Network becomes the biggest sports cable channel to be available directly to consumers outside of a pay-TV bundle. I work at NFL part-time and they announced that they are devoting more resources and attention to DTC and FAST content and less to linear. But, they still will have a linear presence. |
Re: NFL Plus streaming service
I guess NFL+ now comes with Red Zone?
Waiting to see if I get it free from the Raiders again... |
Re: NFL Plus streaming service
Hoping the NFL will give me another free subscription this season and hoping it’s the premium edition. That would be awesome to get Red Zone for free. :fc:
|
Re: NFL Plus streaming service
How much is it with all of the replays and without the Redzone Channel?
I wish it would have more expanded NFL Films library than the predictable stuff they usually show. I have DirecTV Sports Pack already and the Red Zone Channel is included with it. |

Doesn't look like that exists. But getting NFL+ games and content, Red Zone and replays and condensed games for $79.99 for the season sure seems like a good deal compared to Sunday Ticket on You Tube.
I would have saved earlier if I had known they were allowing unlimited streaming. I still will probably get NFL + but not until the regular season starts(if I can afford it). |
Re: NFL Plus streaming service
I just subscribed to premium a few weeks ago... the NFL Red Zone addition is great news, as I thought I would have to pay for that separately via cable. Red Zone costs me $10 a month/$40 a season, so my NFL+ annual price now seems like more of a deal.
|
Re: NFL Plus streaming service
Got my free NFL+ Premium account from work. They gave me a card with a coupon code and I just applied it to my account. My subscription from the 2022 season doesn't expire until 9/10 when the new season starts. So I assume that's when the new coupon will kick in.
At least I'll now have free access to NFL Red Zone on Sundays. |
Re: NFL Plus streaming service
Apparently the league is still waiting to decide whether they will give the service to every league Season ticket holder like they have in the past. I just have to wait and see, apparently.
|
Re: NFL Plus streaming service
For the money you spent, it should be an extra perk.

But apparently it's the same for every NFL season ticket holder, most of whom never paid a PSL fee. |

Re: NFL Plus streaming service
excited to notify you!
|
Re: NFL Plus streaming service
That was a pretty lame deal for season ticket holders, but I grit my teeth and paid the $60. Red Zone should be enough for me, combined with the replays and the ability to stream locally broadcast games to my phone. It appears that I can stream Red Zone and the NFL Network to my consoles and streaming devices, just not the locally broadcast full games.
I will miss some of the Sunday Ticket flexibility-- I was interested in watching some Anthony Richardson and am unlikely to see much on Red Zone, but for the most part, it serves well enough. And those afternoon games are always better to watch on Red Zone |
Re: NFL Plus streaming service
Red Zone loaded up perfectly on NFL Plus. No issues.
|
Re: NFL Plus streaming service
Ditto. I'm set for another glorious Sunday.
|
Re: NFL Plus streaming service
Wait a minute, NFL doesn't have an app on either the PS5 or the Xbox? Seriously? -ohbfrank-

There is an app on my Xbox series X. I would check again, as it should be on there. I watched the Red Zone channel on it and it worked perfectly.

Re: NFL Plus streaming service
I rebooted the Xbox and now the NFL app is working. Thanks for the suggestion.
|
Re: NFL Plus streaming service
My NFL+ app on my AppleTV was really glitchy in Week 1 - crashed every time I tried to exit a game and jump into another game. It was so bad, I actually was considering NFL Sunday Ticket...but thankfully, things seemed to stabilize in Week 2.
|
Re: NFL Plus streaming service
I haven't checked lately but they seem to be slow at removing ads from the current season's replays.
|
Re: NFL Plus streaming service
Every NFL Network personality has been promoting NFL + on their social media accounts today. They must be pretty desperate to get more subscribers.
|
Re: NFL Plus streaming service
FYI, there is a sale for NFL Plus that ends today
https://id.nfl.com/subscriptions/sel....nfl.com/plus/ $49.99 for NFL+ Premium, which is 50% off and has Red Zone. |
Re: NFL Plus streaming service
Funny thing happened. My free NFL Plus subscription stopped working about 2 weeks ago. And they wanted billing info to continue. I didn't watch week 8 because I was out of the country and it stopped working week 7.
I was confused why, especially before week 7. Turns out, I didn't follow the directions right and put the coupon code in the wrong spot. And then the subscription stopped. I recall the new expiration date never updated. I threw away the card, so customer service wouldn't be able to locate the free subscription. So, I went into work yesterday and asked if they had anymore coupon codes to spare and the girl in charge of it was more than happy to give me another one. She did take my name down. I carefully followed the directions and now I have it up again. Set to expire September 2024. Will be back watching Red Zone on Sunday. |
