In principle, I support them trying to charge whatever they think people will pay.
In practice, I won't pay more than 5 bucks for a rental, and very rarely more than 10 bucks for a purchase.
I can wait.
I did pay more than that, maybe 14.99, for Knives Out because I really wanted to watch it again and wanted my wife to watch it, but that's an exception.
I think 20 to 30 for a rental is crazy, and yes I know going to a theater for two people is that much. It's different.
Paying full rental price, on top of a paid subscription service, definitely not doing that.
Rent then own, or rent-now own-later, I would definitely do.

Not for me, but I could kind of understand why studios are doing it. I might get a few movies for $20, but I might wait until the price drops or if it goes on sale a couple of months later.

Edit: Grammar mistake.

Though Disney could go screw themselves for thinking people (besides families, of course) would pay for a movie on a monthly service.
