Re: Apple TV now available on Roku
My full iTunes library is there.
It supports 4K HDR.
When you click on a Movie in your Library, it starts to play. There's no Menu. So I guess there's no iTunes Extras. You can choose from multiple audio tracks and subtitles. But if a movie has alternate versions, you only get the main one.

Re: Apple TV now available on Roku
This app loads my Library almost instantly. It's much faster than my Apple devices. I have a large movie collection. And my ATV, iPhone and iPad all take 1-2 minutes to load the Library.
I don't see any way to connect your current subscriptions (like Shudder). It would be nice if you could do that.

Can't wait to try this out as I have some titles that are only iTunes.

Loaded the channel on my Roku 3. Tried logging in and it just sits there forever. Either they are being hammered or maybe there is an issue with Roku 3 right now.

I’m having sign in trouble too. It’s stuck at signing in.

I can't sign in either. Via mobile device just gives an error, on this TV just spinning. Restarted Roku and same results.

Re: Apple TV now available on Roku
I signed on earlier today, so no troubles playing movies right now. Overall, nothing impressive and the interface seems dated. Feels a lot like the MA app. And right now there seems to be no way to play the extras. Oh well, I wasn’t planning on making this my main app to play movies, but at least there’s now another option.

Re: Apple TV now available on Roku
I got in on 1 of 3 Roku 3's. The Mobile sign in came up immediately. But still can't get in on other 2 3's. Tried remove/re-add app; restart too.
It seems strange that my Roku 4 Ultras (4400x) are not compatible? I thought they were newer than the 3's.

Still can't sign in.
And the sign in from a Mobile device doesn't work either. Says there are errors. Looks like this app has issues.
Not a big deal, I already have an Apple TV 4K. If this doesn't work, no biggie.

And here it is. If you have an SD card in your Roku, it may not work as the Apple TV channel doesn't work if it runs from the SD card. Removed channel. Powered down the Roku. Removed SD card. Powered back up Roku. Reinstalled the channel. Let me login no issues. Now to test reinstalling SD card.

I have now powered down, reinstalled the SD card, powered back up, and it seems to still be working. Time will tell if it continues working.

Re: Apple TV now available on Roku
Cool, seems to work here too. I just powered off (or one was already off) and pulled SD card, launched channel, had to wait to install. Then was able to log in.
With 3 Roku's with the app installed, I didn't want to delete it, because it would delete from all Roku's, then get re-added with SD card already installed.

Apple TV app launches on Amazon Fire TV devices
The Apple TV app is now available on three different models of Fire TV devices — the Fire TV Stick 4K, the Fire TV Stick (2nd Gen), and the Fire TV Basic Edition — with support for more models coming soon.
The app will allow you to watch shows from Apple’s streaming service, Apple TV Plus, which will launch on November 1st. But it also has perks for non-subscribers: it’ll let you stream any movies or TV shows you’ve purchased through iTunes in the past, too. You can also watch new purchases and rentals through the app, but you’ll have to make those purchases through another device with iTunes on it. You can’t do it straight from the TV.

Managed to sign in today and activate it on my Roku with no troubles. I activated it using my iPad and boom, it's now working. Didn't have to remove the SD card or anything. I'm guessing the app had some bugs when it was released.

Quick note, appears that if you have the App installed the first two eps of the new shows are free to sample, worked for me anyway.....
