Re: Apple TV+ -- News and Rumors

Got a free year of AppleTV with a new phone and have ordered a new Sony TV, but no AppleTV app. Maybe Airplay will work.

Re: Apple TV+ -- News and Rumors

Thanks! I’ll have to play around with it. I was going to skip AppleTV, but as long as I have it, I’d be interested in Greyhound and Little Voice.

https://9to5mac.com/2020/10/08/apple...february-2021/

Apple TV+'s free trial will be extended to February of 2021

So if you need more time to catch up on Ted Lasso, For all Mankind, The Morning show and such you have it.

Cool... I just switched from monthly to yearly billing this morning as my free year was up at the end of the month.

Re: Apple TV+ -- News and Rumors

I’ve honestly barely used Apple TV+. Not much on there that interests me really. I watched one episode of Amazing Stories and that’s it. Still cool they’re extending the trial period.

Only thing I've watched on Apple was See, that um Jason Momoa series. Speaking of which... no word on season 2 premiere eh?

Dickinson is still my favorite series on there. I've watched it like 3 times already. Can't wait for season 2 to hit!

Re: Apple TV+ -- News and Rumors

A friend texted me saying that the AMC+/Shudder/IFC/Sundance bundle for $8.99 is now available on ATV+. It was only being offered on Amazon bundelized.

Re: Apple TV+ -- News and Rumors

So if you're in a trial they extended it, but when is the deadline to start a free trial with a new device purchase?

Re: Apple TV+ -- News and Rumors

I received this email from Apple TV + today:

You’re getting $4.99/month in credit from Apple TV+ through January.

Hello lwhy?,

As a thank you for being an Apple TV+ subscriber, we’re applying $4.99 in credit to your Apple ID each month you’re subscribed from November through January 2021. You can use the credit however you like — for movies in the Apple TV app, games in the App Store, other Apple services, or simply to pay for Apple TV+.

It’s been an incredible debut year. Audiences are loving the Emmy Award winner The Morning Show, the blockbuster WWII thriller Greyhound, the heartwarming comedy Ted Lasso, and so much more. Be on the lookout for new premieres, hit movies like On the Rocks, the eye-opening docuseries Tiny World, and Season 2 of Servant, For All Mankind, and Peabody winner Dickinson.

Your credit will be automatically applied to your Apple ID at the end of each month.

The Apple TV+ Team

I'll take it! They're essentially giving me a free movie purchase each month.

Re: Apple TV+ -- News and Rumors

I'm kind of surprised that if you buy a new device you can't get another year free if you already got one last year.

All the Charlie Brown holiday specials are now exclusive to Apple TV plus.

Lets just say the people who don’t subscribe to multiple streaming services are pretty pissed.

Re: Apple TV+ -- News and Rumors

Why would they be pissed over this?

EDIT: Nevermind, just read the thread on the TV forum. I’ve had them already for years, so I’ll manage to survive this massive move.

Re: Apple TV+ -- News and Rumors

Only one we don't already have via UV/MA was Thanksgiving and that became unable to purchase over this summer. Looks like only way to get them now is to buy a set that has digital codes.

Re: Apple TV+ -- News and Rumors

Just discovered Apple TV now has apps on Xbox and PS4. Now I’m feeling like a dummy for buying a Fire stick to watch Apple stuff on my TV.
