Re: Apple TV+ -- News and Rumors

I have absolutely no idea why but my Apple TV+ subscription is good until 1/24.

I bought an iPhone about two years ago but that's been the only product.

When is the price hike in affect? I hope mine doesn’t change. I like the $50 price, but honestly, I’d pay the $70 too.

It's effective immediately to whenever it's set to renew.

well, that’s not exactly accurate, as my post points out. They still have me down as $50.

If you click on your subscription, then you will see the rate you will be charged when your next billing comes due.

Re: Apple TV+ -- News and Rumors

Mine still shows the $4.99/mo even though I've added the Costco card. I found that you have to hit the manage selection below your subscription in settings. Then it will show you the updated price it will be next bill cycle.

I’m paying $49.99 whether they like it or not. I have proof.

Does nobody here have T-Mobile? You get Apple TV plus, Netflix and Paramount plus ad supported for free with the Magenta Max plan. Although Paramount plus is just for one year.

It doesn't make sense for me. I could pay $140/month for 2 lines for Magenta Max on T-Mobile and get all those streamers, but instead, I pay $27/month for 2 lines on T-Mobile MVNOs that are right-sized for our usage, and I can choose whether or not to subscribe to those streaming services separately.

I never said the Magenta Max plan with the streamers works for everyone. You’re probably a much lighter mobile user than me and my mother. We share the plan. And we both use a lot of data. So spending that much is probably way too expensive for you. I assume the MVNOs is a budget plan like Mint. I was just tossing it out there for anyone else who might have my plan.

I have Verizon - I get Disney +, Hulu, and ESPN + for free with it. Waiting to see if they change that once Disney + goes to the both ads and ad-free option (whether they downgrade to the ads version).

I just saw the trailer for Spirited with Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell. Looks really fun. Could be the new Scrooged. Nov 18.

not too terrible. but certainly not great. whether or not it has the juice to be an X-Mas classic remains to be seen, but i highly doubt.

I’ll probably keep it for a while yet. If it goes much higher though I dunno. I don’t use it a lot outside of Ted Lasso. There are other decent looking shows and movies on it but I haven’t watched many others yet.

I don't have AppleTV+ but this showed up because I follow Selena. 2 months of AppleTV+ to watch her doc.

Great doc. This is only for new subscribers though. That sucks. It was watched twice on my account.

Re: Apple TV+ -- News and Rumors

Good to know. Ours is still on the Costco gift card deal till Nov 2023. Then it renews at either $6.99/mo or $69/yr. It was set to renew Nov 2022 at either of those rates with no way to change it to anything else. That's why I grabbed the Costco for us.

Re: Apple TV+ -- News and Rumors

I'm trying to watch MLS on Apple TV + on it's season opening night and the games are unwatchable(freeze ups on streaming). This is on two different PCs and Roku seems to be ok but I would think it should be ok on every device(unless they didn't think it out ).

FWIW I watched the Austin-St. Louis match on Saturday and didn't have any issues. Device was an Apple TV.
