The filmed performance will feature alums of the Broadway company of the long-running musical.Come From Away Marc J. FranklinApple Original Films has boarded the previously announced filmed capture of Come From Away. As reported in February, members of the Broadway company (an exact cast to be confirmed) will reunite at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre in May to film the musical.
A premiere date and additional release details will be announced later. At the time of the initial announcement, producers Entertainment One said they intended for it to be released in September, which would mark the 20th anniversary of the September 11 attacks that serve as a catalyst for the musical about finding community amid tragedy.
The original cast of Come From Away Matthew MurphyChristopher Ashley will direct the filmed version, reprising his Tony-winning work. He was slated to helm a feature film adaptation for the Mark Gordon Company and Entertainment One, as first reported back in 2017, though those plans have since evolved with the absence of live performance.
Come From Away, written by Irene Sankoff and David Hein, tells the true story of 7,000 stranded air passengers during the wake of the 2001 terrorist attacks, and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. The ensemble cast take on a variety of roles, from passengers to locals to airline personnel.
The production features choreography by Kelly Devine and music supervision by Ian Eisendrath. The creative team also includes RadicalMedia, which will film the production, having previously worked on the captures of Hamilton for Disney+ and David Byrne’s American Utopia for HBO.

It's quite popular. About this small town in Newfoundland that ended up hosting a bunch of international travelers after all the planes got put on the ground on 9/11. It was playing last time I was going to shows on Broadway but we didn't see it because my wife was down on any sort of a 9/11 musical. It was nominated for several Tony Awards but lost to Dear Evan Hansen.

Just got an email from Apple that my Apple TV+ trial is ending soon and that they’re going to start charging monthly as of July 1st. I decided to cancel for now. I really don’t use it very much at all and even though it’s only $4.99 I can do without it. I might renew for a couple originals later in the year.

I'll cancel too after I watch Ted Lasso: Season 2. I almost never use Apple TV+. I have no interest in about 90% of their content.
I'm really surprised they didn't license some studio's catalog to create a movie library.

I’m going to keep it. They have some upcoming stuff this year I want to watch like Lasso season 2, The Morning show season 2 and Invasion. I still have a few others like For all Mankind I want to get caught up on. I realize some of you probably have thousands of hours of other shows and movies you either bought or on other services you need to watch, so Apple stuff is low priority or probably not worth it to you.

I got another free year with my work phone so we won't be paying. I am good through May of next year. We would probably pay for Tes Lasso and Morning Show and For All Mankind.

I will keep it going because Apple TV + and Showtime and Paramount + for $15/mo is a deal. If they ever killed that promotion for me, I would probably drop it.

Re: Apple TV+ -- News and Rumors
I've really enjoyed watching For All Mankind, Mythic Quest, and Ted Lasso. I have the bundle for $15 like Decker does. I'll keep subscribing due to that.

Seen a few good shows like Defending Jacob but just not compelling enough to keep with everything else out there- maybe if they have it bundled with another service at a discount.

I have it with Showtime and Paramount+. It's still $4.99 a month for Apple TV+ but $9.99 for Showtime and Paramount+ bundled. In order to have Showtime/Paramount+ for $9.99 you gotta keep Apple TV+ active.

Well, seems I’ll be keeping Apple Music (see my post in Music) so I’ll get to keep TV for the same price.

Re: Apple TV+ -- News and Rumors
So my Apple TV + subscription renews tomorrow after my trial finally ends.
As I said before, I plan to keep it. However, there are two options for renewal. I was wondering which of these would you go for?
1) Apple One. $14.95 per month includes Apple Music and Apple Arcade.
2) Apple TV + 1 year for $49.99
Apple One does sound appealing. I like having the music option and have played games on Apple Arcade.
Curious if anyone has gone the Apple One route.

When I bought the new APTV4K it came with a free year of the service, so it'll renew next year. I went with the yearly renewal at $49.99. I don't play Arcade or listen to Apple Music enough.

I also get Apple Music free with Verizon so I just went with the 1 year plan for Apple TV+.
Most of the Apple Arcade games need a controller... I doubt I'd play them enough (none really look that interesting) to justify buying the controller even with Arcade free for a year.

This is not right at all. None require one as far as I know. Several are controller-enabled, meaning you could play with one if you want to.

NBA 2K is on Apple Arcade and requires a controller. I have a PS4 and XBox controller and they connect to the Apple TV via Blue Tooth. It's no big deal connecting them.
