re: Max — Warner Bros. Discovery streaming service

I just started using HBO Max through my Firestick, and the RW/FF function might as well not exist for how well they work. Once it starts rewinding, I can't control when to make it stop with any accuracy --try to go back 2 minutes and you end up going back 10-- WTF?

Use left + right on the direction pad instead of ff/rwd. It only skips 15 seconds and is much much easier to control that way. Hulu works much better that way as well.

Re: HBO Max — Warnermedia streaming service

I’m sorry if this has been asked, even by me: can you let friends use your HBO Max and set them up with profile but not give out my creds? I know I have my mom as a separate account (or at least a separate icon from me and I guess different play and watch lists and stuff), but really not sure what that means. Not sure if we can stream at same time or what…

You can go to their house and log in, that shouldn't give them your credentials or credit card info (it will normally say "go to the website"). You can have 5 profiles and a total 3 simultaneous streams. It's intended for the same household but you do you.

You don't have to go to their house. Have them try to log in using a device and give you the code they see on their screen. That way you just log in on your iPad or phone and it unlocks for them. I do that for my sister.

Re: HBO Max — Warnermedia streaming service

I just realized I never got around to watching the Angelina Jolie movie, but it wasn’t a big priority for me, and it’ll be back someday. And I’ll probably skip The Conjuring. I am looking forward to watching In the Heights, though.

re: Max — Warner Bros. Discovery streaming service

The Super Friends was just added to HBO Max. It was previously on DC Universe.

If you want to re-live your 70s and 80s Saturday morning cartoon days. It lists 10 seasons.

The only season I don't like is season 1 with Wendy, Marvin and Wonder Dog. Unwatchable. The rest is decent,

Oh crap, that’s awesome. I loved Super Friends as a kid. Don’t remember much though, so I’ll have to revisit some episodes. I had no idea the show ran for so many seasons.

Hopefully the streaming options are less complicated than the Physical Media releases! (Madness begins at 3:08)

WOW, what the hell is up with that release pattern? I guess is makes sense that it’s the same company that controls the DCU universe.

DC has always flailed around trying to market their animated shows as kids product.

Wow what a convoluted physical media release. Well, it’s there on HBO Max now. It looks nice in HD.

Re: HBO Max — Warnermedia streaming service

I sigend up for the 6-month promo of this for $69.99 & have 4 mos left of it. I've kind fo regretted it because I've not really watched squat, but I need to start ASAP to get my money's worth out of it. I doubt I'll continue w/ it. I'd rather get Paramount+ &/or Netflix.

(I still have cable TV.)

So this is a thing:

Jellystone: basically all the Yogi and related Hanna Barbera characters in a style old school fans are sure to hate.

Re: HBO Max — Warnermedia streaming service

I first got HBO Max to watch Wonderwoman and then to watch Godzilla vs. Kong, Snyder's Cut and Mortal Kombat. I watched these films on my iPhone as I didn't want to use my old computer. Now I am probably going to get HBO Max to watch Space Jam being a big Lebron fan. My family doesn't want me to go on the first day or weekend. They want me to watch on the 2nd weekend at the earliest I believe. so I might as well just watch it on HBO Max on the first day. I am not sure I am even able to get tickets at least for the opening day. Should be a better viewing experience on my 14 inch laptop. I might be able to use a hdmi to watch on my 32 inch tv.

Why? Don’t you have access on a tv?

My tv from like 2013/2014 doesn't have internet capabilities. I can't get HBO max by itself on my tv. I can use a hdmi on my old computer though.

Wouldn't it be easier to buy a firestick or roku so you can watch it on your tv?

Yeah, I could watch that season with Wendy and Marvin when I was a kid, but now, hell no. The seasons with the Legion of Doom (Challenge of the Superfriends) and the last couple seasons with Darkseid were cool though and still fun to watch.

I find it hard to watch (at least my kids do) if only because the DCAU is on the same service and I'd rather watch that. Same with Spider-man and his Amazing Friends on Disney +. I'm still glad I have the option, though.

re: Max — Warner Bros. Discovery streaming service

I was scrolling around HBO Max yesterday and discovered something : The weirdest thing - by far - that HBO Max is doing with their interface is that with their new titles they never show who is in the cast of any series or movie on their app. It's so bizarre - why cast famous names and not let the viewers know who is in the show they're just about to watch?
