What's the deal with Looney Toons?
Before I would watch 2 or 3 in a row and then it would stop playing.
I am watching it now and it's played Looney Toons for over 2.5 hours straight.
What's the most that you can watch in a row without interuption?

HBO Max will autoplay until the last episode of a show:
https://help.hbomax.com/Answer/Detail/49
There was originally an issue with this on Classic Looney Tunes where it'd stop every once in a while. This seems to have been because of missing shorts not on the service breaking up the sequence of "episode" numbers.

HBO Max stated they were working on a fix, so they've apparently fixed it

So, on the Apple TV app I noticed if the episode numbers are sequential, it will auto play. If there’s a gap, it will drop back to the menu. As they have not included every episode (for multitude reasons) it appears their auto play algorithm depends on the numbering.

I messaged HBO Max on Twitter and here is their response : Our team has confirmed this is an issue they're working to remedy and we appreciate you sharing your experience with us. We hope to have a resolution in the near future. If you have any other HBO Max questions, please feel free to reach back out. Thanks again!

HBO Max has given a straight-to-series order for an eight-episode first season with Gunn writing all eight episodes and directing several, including the first. Cena will reprise his role from the upcoming movie for what will explore the origins of the character.

I have a code for a free 30 day free trial of HBO Max that I got from DC Universe. I don't need it as I already subscribe to it already. So it's up for grabs.
Here it is:
DCU30FTANKY4BYMDM
Don't hoard it if you don't have the correct device to use it. Remember Roku and Amazon don't have deals with HBO Max yet.
These are the only devices that support HBO MaxThe following TV devices are supported:
+
Android TV
+
Apple TV
+
PlayStation 4
+
Samsung TV (2016 models and later)
+
Xbox One
That's in addition to web browser, iPhone and iPad.

HBO Max is supposedly pouring $70 million into Snyder's Justice League. A bold gambit for what was a movie that received a lukewarm response at best.

Drop in the bucket for Warner and it's the rare streaming attraction that has garnered a lot of attention. Compare that money spent to Quibi paying Reese Witherspoon $6M to narrate about an hour of content in a docuseries about elephants. Who do you think got more bang for their buck?

If you have to compare your spending to Quibi to make yourself look good....
I wonder if this isn't a perfect storm for this release. Not only the attention it gathered, but also the pandemic making it almost impossible to film full movies (I'm sure even the reshoots are much much easier to do in this climate, let alone the special effects).

I do wonder if it would've gotten greenlit without the pandemic. A lot of the work for the new cut is post-production work, so there's a lot of work-from-home opportunities for FX houses that otherwise would be running out of newly filmed projects to work on. Reshoots can probably be done on a smaller scale than the original principle photography, and maybe even limiting it to one or two actors on a set at a time, for close-ups and such to fill in gaps in the original footage. HBO Max has all the DC Universe shows now and has greenlit new seasons of most of them, but there's probably questions of delays and when they can start working on those new seasons, so Snyder's Justice League can work as a gap filler for when HBO Max might not have much other new content coming in.

Re: HBO Max Warnermedia streaming service launches May 2020
I think Snyder is getting this money because HBO Max needs something that generates buzz for subscribers. Early reports indicate the service is not selling like gangbusters out of the gate. It's a perfect storm because AT&T needs HBO Max to be a success.

Well we know why it's not selling like gangbusters. It's because it's not avaliable on the 2 biggest platforms.

Not if they don't sign up or switch over to HBO Max. Tons probably just watch HBO on their TV and if anything have HBO Now on their phone. If they're not tech savvy or up on the latest entertainment news, I bet most don't realize that what they're getting with HBO isn't all there is with HBO Max.

AT&T on Thursday touted the successful launch of HBO Max with the new service helping to boost overall HBO and HBO Max customers by a net 1.7 million over the first six months of 2020.
As of June 30, 2020, AT&Ts WarnerMedia reported 36.3 million total U.S. subscribers to HBO Max and HBO, up from 34.6 million at Dec. 31, 2019. Thats an increase of 5% over that time period. However, traditional HBO lost 2.1 million subscribers during the first quarter.
In disclosing AT&Ts second-quarter earnings, CEO John Stankey said there were nearly 3 million new subscribers that purchased HBO Max directly from WarnerMedia via online signups in the quarter since its May 27 launch and 4.1 million total activations of the HBO Max app. That means the great majority of HBOs existing subscribers have yet to access HBO Max content even though it is free to those who already pay for HBO.

Part of it is likely because people that wanted HBO either already had it via cable + HBO Go or via HBO Now, so there's not necessarily "pent up demand" for an HBO/WB service like there was for Disney+ . I also don't think WB has ever had as consistent "brand identity" as Disney has, especially with families. It's also pricy for a single streaming service. They tried to leverage the HBO brand, but I think they actually diluted it a bit, since HBO was known for premium adult content primarily, so people may not be thinking of it for Cartoon Network kids content, or Looney Tunes, or Ghibli. The way content comes and goes isn't great either, obviously they didn't play the long game and plan this out far in advance like Disney did.

As of today, the HBO channel on our Roku will load part way and then stop. Not sure if there is a technical issue or if this is another thing in the debate between HBO and Roku.
And have already tried all of the troubleshooting steps. Reboot Roku. Check for updates.

Warner Media/AT&T announced they were going to restructure and try to cut costs as much as 20%. This is in addition to the previous rounds of layoffs that decimated DC.
