Which service are you using for the Olympics?
 

Want to do streaming only. No cable. NBC Sports is out because you need to be a cable subscriber. Have decided on Hulu Live TV since they will have Live and On Demand. Something better? I want to be able to have the stuff On Demand since I work nights.

BTW Hulu and NBC are partnering on this and after paying the $40 entry fee, your Hulu credentials will allow you into the NBC app.

For next year that will work but not for this year. We're gonna move the TV next to the sliding door where it will have excellent reception and I have to get the OTA Tivo sorted. I do like the idea of having to do NOTHING but watch and may still do the $40 every two years.

Maybe you can find someone, family or friends, that is a cable subscriber and can activate your device.

Youtube TV is $35/month where available, and carries the NBC Sports channel. However, it apparently doesn't give you access to the NBC Sports app, so you'd be limited to what you can DVR off the actual channel, but it's unlimited DVR:

Something to note: Hulu, PS Vue, and NBC all had problems with live streaming during the Super Bowl:

This may not be as big a problem with the Olympics, since I don't think it has as many simultaneous viewers as the Super Bowl does, and a lot of people are going to be viewing on-demand instead of live.

Also, due to the 14+ time difference between the US and Korea, NBC Sports actually starts airing some competitions on the evening of 2/8 before the opening ceremony airs on NBC on 2/9. So there may be some on-demand stuff available 2/9 during the day.

I now have access to the NBC Sports app :)

They have some curling stuff already. Can't wait to stream the opening show (I'll be at work when it happens to I'll be watching the replay).

We just signed up for the free trial of YouTube TV. Looks like there are a few options there.

I've been streaming the NBC Sports app via my Amazon Firestick and have been very happy with it.
