The problem is that iTunes codes expire in like three years and they really expire unlike UV codes. I must have wasted hundreds back in the early days l of Blu Ray back when you had to copy the movie to your computer hard drive upon redeeming the code. I didn't want to fill my hard drive up with movies that I already had on disc so I just ignored the codes.

And presently my UV locker states I have ZERO items... Fortunate I can still check it at Flixster Video (can't redeem or watch but it still shows collection).
Wonder if MA is causing a hammer of sync to and from UV via the services that are both and is causing UV issues now.

While the movie is playing, press the * button on the remote. It'll bring up a box with captions, subtitles and audio track options.

Just checked my Ultraviolet library & get this error. Been like this now for a few hours.
"Warning message We're experiencing problems with the UltraViolet service. It may incorrectly indicate that your Library is empty. Please check back later."

The error message was not on myUV when I logged in earlier. Glad to hear they are putting up the warning.
Keep in mind not all UV movies are MA and not all MA movies are UV. So basically we will still have stuff spit up just maybe not as much.
And there are also some non UV and non MA stuff I am sure some of us have that won't port anywhere at all.

I'm playing around with the Roku app and sub profiles. I think I understand it, but as of yet, I can't find where to lock a profile to a specific device.

I had to call VUDU about something, and while on the phone, I asked the CSR about movies that I have in hdx that are showing up as UHD on I-Tunes, and if those will eventually be available in UHD on vudu at no charge. I was told that they would be, and it should take about a week for those movies to be UHD on Vudu (Man of Steel, and Lego Movie were two specific titles that I was told would be upgraded at no charge)

If you understand the subprofiles at all, please let me know. I can't figure out how to use them or let anyone else sign in under one.

Re: Movies Anywhere - News, Rumors & Discussion
All of the sub profiles show up on the app and can be scrolled through.
The part where I am stumped is that on the HELP on the website, they mention locking a profile to a device by clicking something in the upper right, but I can't find it. As of now, everyone can switch to anyone else's profile...including the main.
I would think that it should have you select a profile when you activate a device and thus locking the profile to the device.
Maybe they don't have it all set up. I'm stumped. The profile stuff seems flawed and not detailed enough on the website.
It'd be nice to give my sister a profile for my nieces and nephews locked at G & PG, but what's the point if they can switch to another account with all movies.
EDIT Looking through the Roku app, I guess there is no place to buy movies on the main account unlike the website, but I wouldn't want people switching to other profiles and hampering playback for others. I don't fear that my folks or sister would change it, but kids might.

Thank you for that. I'm totally stumped on the whole thing and my email to CS is still unanswered at this time.
I guess I didn't understand even the concept of locking another profile in, but like you said, there isn't a way to actually do it, as far as I can tell.
I'd like to make a profile for my middle-schooler on his phone and lock him to PG13. No need for him to discover Fast Times at Ridgemont High or American Pie yet.
And BTW : the website doesn't actually let you buy anything -- it only directs you to the purchase page on VUDU or Amazon or iTunes, etc.

Re: Movies Anywhere - News, Rumors & Discussion
The lock button is definitely missing.
According to the HELP:
"5.Switch to that profile by selecting it
6.Tap on "Lock Profile" on the top right corner, and tap "Continue"
This locks the profile to the device and you can only change profiles by logging out and back in again. These restrictions will only apply to feature length movies. They will not apply to bonus features or movie trailers."
So, once the button is there and can tap continue, maybe you can select the profile to "lock" to a particular activated device.
I saw the buy buttons but didn't actually click on them, so now I know.

Once you log out and sign back in, it defaults back to the owner profile.

From that interview: When asked about the possibility of TV Anywhere, she says "We will continue to build the product and add more content to meet consumer demand"

As for Movies Anywhere, transfers are not going smoothly at all. Most people are missing libraries from either their iTunes or other services.

The Roku app shows the amount of movies on top.
And remember, this has nothing to do with UV, so don’t expect anything really changed with what you see there. The intent of MA is to basically take the place of UV. Studios like the MA digital key locker since it has better encryption. Like Kedrix said, it’s a long way off from fully replacing UV, but that is the intention of why MA was created. In fact, on Vudu, the option that said “redeem Ultraviolet code” now says “redeem digital code”.

I did like UV. MA seems to be Disney forcing their hand on the entire industry once again.
