GOTG2 redeemed UHD for a short time, but since the move to MoviesAnywhere, it no longer redeems UHD, only HD.

That sucks, like I said I do not have a 4K TV yet. But I figured $15 was a reasonable price for GOTG2. Maybe I should of gotten the standard blu-ray & saved $7.

I picked up GOTG2 UHD when it first came out, and remembered contacting Disney about it and they unlocked UHD copy in vudu. Could try that

Re: Movies Anywhere - News, Rumors & Discussion

I entered my code just after MA launched.... Ever since then, I've tried contacting Disney through various channels as well as MA and VUDU, etc.

Turns out only for a short while on DMA you could contact them and they'd provide a "one time" upgrade.
Once MA launched, even though DMA still existed, they said they could no longer provide the UHD....

Up until recently I was told to check back...

My final try recently with Disney Support was a big final nope.. was told technology changes and GotG2 was HD code at that time as that was the "technology"... But newer titles are newer .. like starting with Coco... Basically told nope... And not to check back again as the answer would be the same...

Has anyone had issues with The Last Jedi transferring to iTunes and VUDU? I redeemed both Black Panther and Last Jedi yesterday and only Black Panther has transferred.

I assume you're redeeming at MA? Mine worked OK.

I had a delay redeeming Black Panther in vudu. Showed in MA immediately but iTunes was about a half hour later

You can probably still put it in in iTunes if you want. I still redeem mine at Vudu. The MA account is really only needed to Sync Vudu, iTunes, Amazon, etc.

Re: Movies Anywhere - News, Rumors & Discussion

Had to create a Movies Anywhere account, and then link together all my other movie services.

Only ended up with 43 movies total. Guess most of the stuff I buy is either used or stuff that doesn't have codes.

Re: Movies Anywhere - News, Rumors & Discussion

There have been more rumors buzzing around that Microsoft Movies & TV would soon announce it's joining Movies Anywhere.

https://www.windowscentral.com/micro...os-and-android

They keep promising other stores and studios joining. But so far, the only progress has been FandangoNow. I really expected them to be farther along by now.

I have a lot of movies on that service via Xbox credits so I keep waiting for that to happen.

Considering Microsoft used to be part of DMA, I would hope they work out whatever caused the split and reconcile the business relationship.

Are there any other retailers of consequence?

Microsoft is probably the most noteworthy digital store. Playstation Store may be a good get too, especially considering Sony studios are part of MA.

MA also hasn't signed up any new studios since launch. Lionsgate and Paramount Pictures are still holding out.

It'd also be nice if they added TV shows to the service, like Ultraviolet, although that may be prefaced by a name change (Video Anywhere?).

Yeah, we’re, what, nine months into the life of the service, and it’d be nice to have some new additions. But I still think it’s great, don’t get me wrong.

Re: Movies Anywhere - News, Rumors & Discussion

Yeah MA still needs to get those other studios on board, and some of these new releases arent porting over. There's a 200 movie difference between my Vudu and my MA.

How much longer can UV hold on? Once that goes under, do Lionsgate and Paramount have no choice but to join MA (assuming they haven't already)?

And MGM, who's never joined anyone.

Re: Movies Anywhere - News, Rumors & Discussion

I found a way (at least for now) to get UV from titles labeled MA only at FN (but are actually UV/MA). Contact customer support (by Chat for efficiency) and ask to have your UV content re-pushed (reconciled). This works while unlinking and relinking doesn't. This also helps if you have any UV titles stuck at FN.

Re: Movies Anywhere - News, Rumors & Discussion

UV is now down to VUDU as a provider. So how long before VUDU pulls the plug on being a UV provider once Paramount and Lionsgate go MA?

We've seen this song-and-dance from digital streaming services before. I think anyone expecting their UV collections to be in operation beyond 2019 or 2020 are in for a rude awakening.

Why would Vudu do that? Unless they just want to piss off their customer base if they can longer watch movies they purchased on Vudu.

Re: Movies Anywhere - News, Rumors & Discussion

VUDU already carries movies that are NOT UV or MA.

But, with that being said, I have been thinking about starting to download my collection. Space and time is a factor though.
