PlayStation Vue and Apple TV

Hey guys. I have a few questions about PS Vue and Apple TV. I decided that DIRECTV could eat my ass when the bill climbed above $170 a month. We had four TV's, HBO and Cinemax, then paid for HD and DVR service plus fees and whatnot.

So I bought an Apple TV and I'm on the Vue trial. Nice interface. Fast loading (we have 300+ Mbps internet so it should run flawlessly) and seems to be good quality. For anyone that uses either, I was wondering:

Does Vue do surround sound? If it doesn't, would I just use HBO Now for that? Is the picture quality of the recorded shows in HD? Do I need a separate device for each tv to run Vue?

I'm sure I have more questions but these are all I wanted to know at the moment.

You need a separate device for each TV unless your TV has something built in (Roku, Fire, etc.) to run the app.

Most of these live streaming services have only 2.0 audio & 720p video. I'm not aware of any that stream in 5.1. As you're discovered though, you can use your credentials to get to HBO Now, which does stream in surround.

I've found that Vue has the widest acceptance as a provider among networks app too. So you can sign in to most channels' app & possible get 5.1 if they offer it.

As Josh said, you'll need a separate device for each TV. But it doesn't have to be Apple TV. A cheap Roku stick or something will bring it to each TV.

I just went with Spectrum. With my bundle I'm paying less than I would have been with Vue and it includes internet.

Doesn't surprise me. We may be forced to go that route too.
