re: Disney+ streaming service - November 12, 2019 launch
But are they able to carry 2 audio tracks at once, so you can switch back and forth between the commentary and main audio without stopping?
If Disney still wanted to make money on physical media, they'd rotate the older stuff in and out of this so when it goes off that'll give people incentive to go buy it if they want to see it over again. |

Demo from D23 The interface looks great and smooth |
re: Disney+ streaming service - November 12, 2019 launch
That looks exactly like the Apple TV interface; just replace the show tiles with apps.

re: Disney+ streaming service - November 12, 2019 launch
Also looks exactly like the Netflix interface.

There's no indication what type of "member" you have to be yet:
https://prelaunchhelp.disneyplus.com...ounders-Circle The site is live to enter your code: https://founders.disneyplus.com/ And there is the free "general" membership I mentioned above. Knowing Disney, I'm not hopeful though. I'd wait until 8/26 but if you have the DMR points, you can get a free 1 year D23 membership. I think it's over 5000 points though. |

I did read that it's the Apple TV version. Apple TV is pretty strict on how apps are presented so everything tends to look the same. I don't really have a problem with the interface, but I do wonder if it will be different on the Roku or PS4.
Now that I'm looking at that image again though (not able to see the video at work), that is the Apple TV app interface. I thought that was the interface of the Disney app....it's not; it's an image of Apple TV interface with the Disney app selected. |

Any free members get a code or try this yet?
Just go to https://d23.com/, log in and click on "My account > view account" on the top right of the page. It should be listed as a current offer in your account page. |
re: Disney+ streaming service - November 12, 2019 launch
Thanks for the headsup.
I do see the offer. hmmmm, that is a really good discount $23/off per year for 3 years. Just committing to 3 years is a little intimidating. I am going to get it, so I think I might do this. The offer expires next Monday, so you don't have much time to think about it. If you're going to get it and have the D23 free membership, you might as well. |

I'm not seeing it.

Log in, click my Account, then View account, it then takes you to the Manage your account page. On that page I see the offer.
There's a big Redeem Now button on it. Disney+ Exclusive Offer for D23 Members!

If not, I've heard of people (even paid gold members) not having the offer show up for them earlier, but Disney said that was fixed at this point so I dunno. |
re: Disney+ streaming service - November 12, 2019 launch
Damn, I'm not getting that.

re: Disney+ streaming service - November 12, 2019 launch
I wish a similar promotion was in place for their International customers. Congrats to all of those taking advantage of this deal. It would have been an immediate sign up for me.

Done. Just signed up.
$140.97 total for 3 years. I was getting the service anyways, so might as well get the discount. It's a damn good discount. |

This is my screen. You click redeem and it takes you to another page to put in your email and password for Disney +. Then it takes you to a credit card page.

Maybe because I joined this week I'm not eligable? Or they are slowly rolling it out.

re: Disney+ streaming service - November 12, 2019 launch
People are posting on Ashley's MeWe page that Disney+ via Facebook is saying if you just signed up, it might take 24-48 hours to show up. And if it doesn't show up after that, let them know and they will escalate it. They have also confirmed that the free account is eligible for the discount.
I just signed up 8/24 when I posted about the 3yr deal/discount and I don't see it yet either. I thought I had a free D23 account in the past because I used to get their emails all of the time, but it said I didn't have one. |
re: Disney+ streaming service - November 12, 2019 launch
It's telling that I'm anxiously awaiting with bated breath the opportunity to give Disney money for a discount.

re: Disney+ streaming service - November 12, 2019 launch
I'm wondering if you can upgrade the account to add Hulu and Espn+ if you get this 3 year subscription.

re: Disney+ streaming service - November 12, 2019 launch
To clarify, do you need to be a paid member of D23? Or can you be a free member and still get the discount? |
re: Disney+ streaming service - November 12, 2019 launch
If you're a D23 member, check your emails. I just got this once to announce the promotion
