Re: Disney+ streaming service

I liked Fridays better because it would be something I would watch to kick off the weekend. My work schedule is such that I don't have a lot of extra time until the weekends - now that's just two extra days for my Facebook/Twitter pals to ruin plot points for me.

Yeah, I could care less about this one. Wednesday, Friday, I watch it within the following week or two anyways.

Kind of liked the shows premiering of Friday’s personally but whatever. I don’t always get a chance to watch shows in the middle of the week like a Wednesday so just means I have to try and avoid spoilers until I can watch.

Looks like Amazon music has a Disney+ promotion. New subscribers to Amazon Music get up to six months of DIsney+ (current subscribers get up to three months).

I got a good laugh that Black Widow can be preordered on Disney+

I can't imagine a single reason why someone would preorder it.

Yep. I’m taking that route for this one as well as Jungle Cruise.

yes, but there is no incentive to preorder.

I’ll just wait until it’s included with subscription in October.

If there’s anybody who’s not going to be on your side about it being stupid or pointless to preorder a digital item, it’s Old Boy.

i would never preorder a streaming movie. games, music yes, that's it.

**actually that’s not true. Sometimes Vudu gives you $3.00 credit or free movie tickets with preorders. With movies, I’m positive and those deal existed I did preorder. Don’t think I see those anymore though.**

Yea, getting a credit seems like a good incentive. That makes sense to me.

Re: Disney+ streaming service

Did anyone notice on Disney + they re-did the all the main artwork on MCU movies that have Johansson and made them Black Widow focused?

That’s absolutely terrible and shits on the previous, mostly iconic art work of those great movies she happens to be in. I’m sure temporary, but come on…

Re: Disney+ streaming service

Why are you all surprised they would do this? I would more surprised had they not done some kind of promo for it in this manner. The power of streaming services at work.

Pretty predictable. Kinda like how Netflix changes their art to feature someone who wasn’t the main star of the movie but is a hot property for whatever reason.

Were you this upset when the iTunes store was updated with Lego’d thumbnails for Warner movies when The Lego Batman Movie hit digital. Oh wait, I know the answer.

It kind of drives me crazy that Netflix has multiple thumbnails for a lot of their media and it sometimes it looks completely different on my account as opposed to my wife's account.

Or how they'll make the main image for something a shirtless guy or a woman in a bikini when it really has little to do with that. The main image for The Good Place is a shirtless image of Chidi.

And now I'm wondering if that's only the image I see for it.

I just checked and my image of "The Good Place" is Ted Danson peeking around a corner.
My wife's is a picture of a burning coach with (I think) the back of Kiersten Bell's head
(my kids don't have access to the show)
