Anyone else get an invite for the “Test Tube” feedback community? Doesn’t seem like they’ve been selective about it as both my email addresses got invites, of course I have tons of feedback for them.

I signed up but they ask for the Device ID for whatever thing you use to watch Tubi the most. I am assuming they are going to do a targeted app update.

Load the app on the device you use most, go to Settings, then About. The long ass alphanumeric number is what they want.

The Super Bowl will be streaming live on Tubi (free of charge, in 4k) for those that care:

Wow. I wonder if we'll get it in Canada. Would be an easy way to potentially get the commercials that we miss out on, as ours are always simsubbed with shitty Canadian ads.

Somehow, I suspect it won't work. I'm just too lazy to set up my antenna, any longer.

Tubi has a pretty big list of Cannon Films titles, which is pretty cool. Some of these can also be watched on MGM+

But I know some here won’t use Tubi because they despise forced ads.

To be fair, it's come a long way.

Pun intended.

Re: Tubi -- ad supported streaming service

I am coming to realize that there should be a general Tubi thread listed under the Movie Talk section, instead of just in the Streaming section. I watch so many films and shows on Tubi and I am sure many other on this site are also Tubi fans.

While I might not always have much to say about the latest "masterpiece" I watched on Tubi I think there might be enough activity to warrant making a Tubi Talk thread a sticky post.

For example, I just watched a really bad film on Tubi called Quakeasaurus that I ended up rambling about in the Street Fighter thread, so a dedicated thread could be a watering hole amongst which us Tubi fans could occasionally commiserate to chat about the joys of Tubi.

Tubi is also where I get my year round fix of watching rom-com type films, you would think watching most/all of the Hallmark originals would satiate my desire to watch these types of films but nope. All those Nicely, Reel One, rom-coms (many of them Christmas themed) end up on Tubi and there are a ton of them to work through.

Some have acting that is close to being on par with your average Hallmark/Lifetime film, but oftentimes you understand why Hallmark or Lifetime did not bother to pick up the rights to air the film (although sometimes these films do show up more frequently on Networks like UP TV). That being said, the majority of rom-coms on Tubi shall remain only watchable on Tubi and not end up on other basic cable channels.

There is an actress in multiple rom coms that I have a soft spot for and I have probably seen the majority of her films on Tubi, her name is Sashleigha Hightower. I think some of her films may have actually aired on places like UP before they ended up on Tubi.

She and other like her tend to up starring in multiple rom coms found on Tubi, pretty enough and just enough acting "skills" to keep me from hating the film I just watched.

That being said, I still tend to watch many rom coms on Tubi that have acting that would be outmatched by the folks who starred in my nieces Castro Valley High production of 9 to 5, lol.
