Re: DC Universe streaming service

It wouldn't surprise me if AT&T completely reorganizes Warner's streaming strategy in the next six months. No hard info, but innuendo indicates this DC service hasn't been quite as successful as executives expected.

Like others said, Rome wasn't built in a day. I would hope DC/Warner were prepared to throw $100-200 million funding the service before making drastic changes.

Re: DC Universe streaming service

That sounds more like an excuse for missing expected quality with ST

I'm loving Doom Patrol though.

Re: DC Universe streaming service

So on the ios app, whenever I do a search I can't get the keyboard to minimize. I have no idea if it's because I'm on an ancient version of ios, though.

Re: DC Universe streaming service

Yeah I posted that three posts back.

Just make sure if you do it that they actually give you the discount.

When I did it the discounted price appeared after I entered the code but as soon as I hit submit it jumped to full price.
I had to send them an email to get the price adjusted.

Re: DC Universe streaming service

After this month, I am canceling Netflix and WWE Network because honestly, I never watch either one. So I am looking for something to replace it, and after reading this thread, I think I have decided to sign up for DC Universe. One question, do you have the option to pick which day you can get the payment drafted out of your checking account?

Pretty sure not, so it essentially will be around the same time of the month you signed up.

Thanks. I went ahead and dropped Netflix and signed up for the service. It's not bad, of course it doesn't have a massive amount of content right now, but it has enough on there to satisfy my watching needs. The first thing I watched was the New Adventures of Batman. I loved that show as a kid. Bat-mite is just as annoying as I remembered. I don't know who thought it was a good idea to add him to the show.

Just looking up the show on Wiki, this show was the reason why The Joker never appeared on Challenge of the Superfriends, as TNAOB had the rights to the character. It was interesting to see that he was planned on being a member of The Legion of Doom.

Re: DC Universe streaming service

I'm using the app on Amazon Fire, and for some reason it's stuck trying to resume Doom Patrol episode 11. I've watched past that episode and it refuses to save my place if I stop in the middle of another episode, it just has Doom Patrol episode 11 near the end, and I can't get rid of it. Anyone ever have that happen before?

Re: DC Universe streaming service

I chalk that up to their shitty interface. It's hard enough to find episodes, let alone continue where you left off. Maybe delete the app and re-download.

Re: DC Universe streaming service

I’ve been reading comics on this app.
It’s been over a decade since I’ve read any.

Re: DC Universe streaming service

Reviews of the 1st episode of Swamp Thing are pretty stellar. Lots of positive comments with regard to the practical effects, rather than CGI stuff. The trailer was great. I'll probably wait until most have hit before I watch them (essentially what I've done with Titans and Doom Patrol).
