I’m sure everyone has these already but Die Hard Ultimate Collection (MA) is $7.99 HD at Microsoft. Unfortunately you have to take #5, though.

I haven't checked it out myself - I need to dig up my password - but per a post on the Vudu subreddit, there's a Wes Anderson sale going on at iTunes. Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Isle of Dogs, and The Fantastic Mr. Fox are all $4.99 each.

I generally don't use iTunes these days, but I'll be picking up those first three since they are MA.

Amazon usually price matches the iTunes deals. Sometimes it takes a day or two for the prices to drop.

Thanks for the clarification. I phrased that wrong. Those are the only three titles I want AND they are MA, so I'm getting them. :)

And I'll have to see if Amazon matches, though it doesn't really matter much because of MA. That reddit post said that Vudu also has Fantastic Mr. Fox for $4.99.

Back in the iPod days I'd use it for music. I'd get free videos here and there. (Back then I think I only ever paid for an episode of the Office and Conan O'Brien's Finland special.) Nowadays none of my hardware is from Apple. I use Spotify for music. MA helps when it comes to not being locked into an ecosystem, but for studios that don't participate in it, I pretty much keep their titles within Vudu. For some reason, I prefer that service for my digital collection. (I will however rent movies from a variety of places, based on price.)

Also, until fairly recently, there wasn't an iTunes app for Roku, so that was also a massive barrier.

I did buy the Nice Guys UHD (and maybe also the Big Lebowski?) from iTunes during a good sale and I've redeemed codes there bought for cheap in the secondary market. But all those movies are MA. You never know, once I reset my password I may start shopping there more often. :) (But not on my laptop. That program is bloated and slooooooow.)

Ok. I get that.
But if you have access to iTunes and 4K it’s worth it to buy movies that are MA there just for a possible upgrade.

I know you didn't direct this at me, but I'll just say that I haven't used itunes much because I play movies via my computer and itunes never seemed to work well on my windows computers, being very slow or even hanging (at least, until my current computer - I tried it a little and it seems to work ok-ish so far)..

The rights to MA movies get transferred to all services.
I don't use them much because I can't buy those movies off a website, my laptop doesn't have iTunes and my phone is a Samsung Galaxy. So it's not so easy to buy movies from iTunes if I am not at home.

Sure, and on rare occasions I would buy MA movies from them if they were on sale there and nowhere else, but they were down on my list (since the application that was also used to buy them was slow, aside from other reasons, like getting digital credits from Amazon).

I will say, I'm not buying much MA movies now, even if there is a big sale, because, aside from my library being pretty large at this point, if there's a movie I'm interested in, I'll often be able to trade screen passes in MA to see it.

Yeah I get all that but if you can I think it’s better to buy a MA movie on iTunes for the 4K upgrade possibility.

I buy from iTunes for all MA movies when I can for that specific reason. I didn’t before since they never had an Apple app for my TV. Now that they have an app, it’s easy to watch them on my TCL and LG TV’s easily. Of course, I also broke down and got an Apple TV box for my LG since.

iTunes has the Twilight bundle, 5 movies upgraded to UHD, with extras, for $14.99 currently. (Not MA though.)

It's almost enough to make an idiot with close to zero interest (me) take the plunge.

I got a scam call from 1-314-788-5896 (Missouri area code) shortly after buying the apple GC. I did not answer the call but did a search on google. It linked me to 800 notes.com. Of course it had nothing to do with buying just the Apple GC. First time I got a call after buying something from Amazon. People are saying it was a person with a Indian accent.

Well, since nobody else will say it, popporn.com is having their annual Black Friday 50% off for life deal, though they've done it at least once on other days also. $20 per month is too much, but $10 has been doable for the past couple years. It will suck if their Roku app goes away, though I can still use Airplay if that happens. They have almost everything you could want, I got it mainly for the old 70s and 80s classics which were more like real movies- some of those are nice hi-def transfers from Vinegar Syndrome but others are rather bad VHS masters. You also get access to TLAGay which is a separate app if you're into that.
