There's some Disney movies on sale for $9.99 at iTunes and Amazon. These are DMA-compatible, so they'll transfer to Vudu, iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, etc. And you'll get 150 DMR points.

Freaky Friday (1976)
Freaky Friday (2003)
Parent Trap (1961)
Parent Trap (1998)
Honey I Shrunk the Kids

You can get a $50 iTunes gift card for $42.50 at Paypal Gifts.

Might be gone if you don't act quick, but 4 of Bill Paxton's movies are $4.99 on Fandango...Apollo 13, Weird Science, Streets of Fire and Term Life. I already own Weird Science, Term Life looks awful and Apollo 13 isn't my bag. But I'll pick up Streets of Fire. All are UV, so they should transfer over.

Edit: Streets of Fire went over to my Vudu in a matter of seconds. Good times.

And FandangoNow has 4 more titles for today for $4.99. None interesting to me, but maybe somebody out there wants one. Again, all UV.

The new Streets of Fire BD that just came out this week from Shout is excellent. Lots of great material on it.

It's a new 2K transfer and they have almost 3 hours of documentaries. I would recommend it.

Thanks for the information, well Streets of Fire is completely blind for me (despite seeing a ton of 80's films since I am an 80's kid)believe it or not. So I figure, $5 digital versus $20 Blu-ray...probably for the best. ...hopefully though Streets of Fire digital uses a similar master.

But rest assured, if I do fall in love...oh a nice special edition like that will be on my radar.

I'd disagree only that you really need the Brazil Criterion Blu Ray. The movie by itself isn't enough.
I will be grabbing Do The Right Thing.

There is the chance I might not like it. When it comes to Terry Gilliam, traditionally I like what he's selling so to speak (Holy Grail, Life of Brian, Baron Munchausen, Fisher King) but sometimes not (Meaning of Life, Time Bandits). So while I know the Criterion is fantastic from what I've read, I think digital might be best for a first viewing.

Re: The kinda all streaming deals thread

Then I'd say spend the $5 first. But Brazil is brilliant.

The Monty Python films aren't really reflective of Gilliam's style. They are more Terry Jones, though both guys are credited.

Re: The kinda all streaming deals thread

One note on Brazil is that, based on the run time, it's the original US Theatrical Cut, not the European cut or Final Director's Cut (which is basically the European cut with one change from the US cut).

The US cut is still good, and Gilliam actually edited and approved the cut, but it's about 10 minutes shorter than the European and Director's cuts.

Avatar: Extended Collector's Edition is $7.99 at iTunes. It's usually $19.99. This is the lowest it's ever been.

This is packed with extra features. It includes 3 versions of the film, a 98-minute documentary, unfinished scenes, a couple hours of featurettes, and a clip on the new Pandora attraction at Walt Disney World.

Re: The kinda all streaming deals thread

A couple of romantic comedies for your weekend from FandangoNow.com

Both UV

Definitely, Maybe $4.99
5 Year Engagement (both Rated and UnRated versions) $4.99

They don't seem tied to any specific sale, but they weren't that price until today. I might spring for Definitely, Maybe...I think it would make the wife happy.

Re: The kinda all streaming deals thread

More FandangoNow, this time in form of DC Comic Stuff.

https://www.fandangonow.com/list/dc-...8e0c0a81510INT

Plus use DCDEALS to get $5 off.
The highlight here is probably Vixen for $1.99 after coupon. It is UV, so it will go to your locker, but VUDU does not have this as UV yet...but supposedly according to the VUDU forums, it will go UV today. I'll update once I see it port over.
