Just checked again and history now shows 4 x 150 point entries. Doesn't show titles just "Movie Redemption". I wonder if it was part of the glitch all Disney sites experienced last week.

The bonus code will give you 4K rights for all these movies. But the only one that's currently available to stream in 4K is Julie & Julia. That one will give you the UHD version at Vudu, iTunes, Amazon, etc. For the other movies, even though it will say 4K at MA, you can't actually watch the 4K version because it's not available.

I was going to post the free-movie deal, but the misprice was even better. Glad I didn’t pre-order the $19.99 bundle with Winona Ryder as I’d considered. I already have Julie and Julia so may get Ladies in Black.

Trevor 03-10-20 02:45 PM

Re: The kinda all streaming deals thread

Great film btw, loved it in the theater. I bit on the deal, and since I have a few of the more popular free title options on DVD already, blind bought Ladies in Black for my freebie.

Annoyed that Little Women hasn’t shown up in my MA yet. It’s been about 24 hours, so I’ll have to hit up CS if it doesn’t appear today.

Re: The kinda all streaming deals thread

moviespree keeps grabbing my attention.

They're having a sale on some miniseries, including a bundle of Terry Pratchett's Hogfather and The Color of Magic for $3.99:
https://www.moviespree.com/series/co...-doublefeature

I actually got this via a download code for with my recent purchase of the Blu-ray of these miniseries from Mill Creek. It looks like Mill Creek is behind this site, based on other titles. Viewing it on moviespree, the 480p version is a bit of a mess, but the 720p stream is pretty good.

Another hint it's Mill Creek is this bundle of Night of the Living Dead with an exclusive commentary, plus 5 other films for $0.99
https://new.moviespree.com/series/ni...he-living-dead

This commentary was included as a "digital extra" in Mill Creeks Blu-ray release of the film, and sells for $6.99 separately. The Criterion Blu-ray reportedly has the far superior transfer, but it might be worth getting this commentary for completeness sake.
https://weliveentertainment.com/blur...atrick-mccabe/
https://new.moviespree.com/videos/ni...ead-commentary

You can also get all 39 episodes of the 1954 TV show (The Adventures of) Sherlock Holmes for $0.99
https://www.moviespree.com/series/ad...sherlockholmes
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sherlo...954_TV_series)

I'm also considering the miniseries 10th Kingdon, on sale for $3.99
https://www.moviespree.com/shows/10th-kingdom

Hey Verne, It's Ernest - Complete Series (13 episodes) for $0.99
https://www.moviespree.com/series/itsernest

There might be more, but the site is hard to navigate. They don't have an easy way to go through all the shows and movies they offer.

Sling TV rolls out free streaming to US consumers stuck at home
https://techcrunch.com/2020/03/18/sl...stuck-at-home/

https://watch.sling.com/browse/my-tv

“Stay in & SLING,” as the free service is called, now includes thousands of shows and movies without the need to sign up.

This includes a selection of older shows like “Hell’s Kitchen,” “Forensic Files,” “Kitchen Nightmares,” “Black Sails,” “Third Rock from the Sun,” “Roseanne,” “Grounded for Life,” “Hunter,” “Grace Under Fire,” “Shameless,” “21 Jump Street” and others, plus a small selection of free live TV channels led by ABC News Live.

The movie section is organized by category, including Horror, Action, Drama and Popular. In the latter, you’ll find mostly older films and unknown titles.

The free kids’ content section is a little more promising, with free episodes and seasons from shows like “Teen Titans Go!,” “Adventure Time,” “DC Super Hero Girls,” “Total Dramarama,” “Justice League Action,” “LEGO Ninjago,” “Bob the Builder” and others.

There are also rows featuring free comedy standup specials, free true crime shows, free popular shows (e.g. “Rick and Morty,” “Impractical Jokers,” “Samurai Jack” and more), plus a section with “get a free taste” shows. This latter row is a selection of single free episodes from better-known shows like “Power,” “Vida,” “American Gods,” “The White Queen,” “Party Down” and more hailing from Starz.

It used to be - some number of songs for free, $25 a year for either unlimited songs or 25,000 songs.
They stopped that a couple years ago though.

They had a grandfather option where you could opt to leave your collection there when they turned off that feature. I opted in.
Maybe they think there's not enough audience for that, everyone's gone to streaming, or they didn't want the potential copyright risk. It was probably a small percentage people who used that service to upload tens of thousands of tracks.

CBS All Access is apparently offering a one month trial sub, vs their regular 1 week, with code ALL or GIFT. (Note - I haven't tried it yet. There's online ads that make it look "free" but it seems to basically be the regular trial sub process, just longer.)
