Re: Last digital movie you bought or redeemed?

Was biding my time and waiting for a sale. Nice deal. Can’t wait to revisit.

Even though it's coming to Paramount + for Christmas, I finally bit on Top Gun: Maverick at $14.99. Figured Paramount + wasn't going to have all the iTunes extras.

Also picked up Excalibur for $4.99 this week.

I didn't buy it - I rented it - but I want to recommend the new Mel Gibson movie ON THE LINE. It's derivative of other films in its genre, but Gibson is actually really good in this one and - assuming you can avoid spoilers - is a lot of fun to watch.

We bought Tremors for $4 on Amazon Video and watched it as a family this October, the kids loved it!

I have a free rental, so perhaps I’ll give it a go. Always loved him as director or actor.

I've reached the 'shitty superhero movies if cheap enough' phase by recently adding the Venom movies/ Morpheus bundle and Fantastic Four bundle ... pray for me.

Going All the Way: The Director's Edit

Going All theMark Pellington's adaptation of Dan Wakefield's seminal novel about a young man coming of age in the 1950s is a timeless story of freedom and repression, friendship and family, sex and love, and the psychological and spiritual struggle to be true to one's self even if it means going against society's expectations. In his debut as a feature filmmaker, Pellington constructs an elegant and morally complex tale about two young high school alumni and Korean war veterans returning to their sheltered Indianapolis community, only to find they no longer fit in. As classmates, shy, artistic Sonny (distinctly portrayed by W
Blind buy for $5/4.ay: The Director's Edit
Decent scores from the critics and IMDB. But I just noted on RT that the AUDIENCE SCORE is 24%.

Went ahead and picked this up to see if I could retire my DVD. I had never seen the director's cut before, and, FWIW, it looks like there is a missing sex scene between Davies and Locane.

Re: Last digital movie you bought or redeemed?

Recently, King Kong Lives from VUDU. It's a movie that enjoys the coveted 0% approval rating from Rotten Tomatoes. Earns every GD percentage point too! So, so very bad it's in the so bad it will hurt you with its delicious badness category. 18 thumbs up

Hey sorry... missed this way back in June. No, I preordered it. I buy so few discs now that a few extra dollars to have those few day one is worth it.
