Re: Last digital movie you bought or redeemed?
The mobile D2D is alive and well, although who knows for how much longer. Physical disc to digital is dead.

Re: Last digital movie you bought or redeemed?
I'd try it again. It's been a while since you had those issues and they've been doing constant work on their mobile interfaces.

Re: Last digital movie you bought or redeemed?

Re: Last digital movie you bought or redeemed?
I tried. Giving me same msg it did a year ago. Billing address still not my current location. That’s why I gave up long ago...

Re: Last digital movie you bought or redeemed?
Mine matched right away and for quite a while. Then we got a new router and it quit matching. It was because the phones high accuracy setting was picking up some other location from the router when using it. I had to do some Google maps sync thing to get it to work for a while. Eventually when opening Google Maps it was back to accurate. Then it stopped matching again. Nothing had changed that I knew about. This time I had to change my zip to add the 4 digit exchange at the end. Has worked great ever since.

Re: Last digital movie you bought or redeemed?
And it’s not an app. Just use your phone’s web browser and go to Vudu that way. Go to your account settings and make sure everything is correct for your address information. After you confirm, go to the front screen and in the upper left hand corner, click the 3 horizontal bars to expand the menu. Then go down to My Vudu. You’ll see the Disc to Digital option. Click to allow to use your location and you should be good to go. But there isn’t anything outside Vudu (like Google Maps) that you need to tinker with in order to use D2D.

Center to your location on Google Maps if it isn't exactly where you are. And yes I had problems where the phone thought it was somewhere else for some time based on using GPS + WiFi for location. It can also be changed to just GPS on some phones to not use WiFi or Cell towers. If there is a mismatch between what the phone registers for location and your billing address there are issues. I've had both phone location off position and billing address mismatch issues independently at different times. |
Re: Last digital movie you bought or redeemed?
Nah, I’ve fine everything I can do. Google maps has my correct location. Correct in Vudu. I don’t know why, but oh well.

Re: Last digital movie you bought or redeemed?
This is what I get even though Google Maps finally has my address right and not 2 off the number of street as it used to. Exact same as billing on Vudu. You can’t even put 4 digit zip extension in Vudu. I give up dammit...
https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/dvdtalk...e0a63d4ca.jpeg and though it does still recognize UPC, I have no idea why it comes out sideways on Vudu when I’m taking a straight down portrait shot. |
Re: Last digital movie you bought or redeemed?
I’ve actually started to redeem a bunch of my digital copy codes recently with Movies Anywhere. Figure I have them anyways so might as well do something with them. Plus they might come in handy to have if I’m at my girlfriend’s place or whatever and we can’t find something to watch. Last one I redeemed was The Amazing Spider-Man. Also pre-ordered Scoob! from Vudu.

From your picture it seems you are using an iPhone and not the Android. My comments on Google Maps was for an Android phone. I wish I could remember where I saw the info on maps, address, etc that helped lead me to my solutions when I had issues. It might have been the VUDU forums. Which no longer have a search option. So if you do want to search their forum, you can use Google and make sure you add "site:forum.vudu.com" (without quotes). There are many threads here if you want to manually search out some solutions or you could start your own thread. https://forum.vudu.com/forum/vudu/vudu-disc-to-digital |

Re: Last digital movie you bought or redeemed?
I bought a bunch of titles on sale at FandangoNow. I had never used the service until this month and they gave me 20% off for a month after my first purchase. I ended up getting Demolition Man (HD), Die Hard (UHD), The Matrix (UHD), and Blade (HD) for $4.38 each including tax. If you buy a gift card you get can 15% off so I ended up saving more.
Zombieland: Double Tap UHD for $7.99 Blade HD for $4.38 The Matrix (UHD) for $4.38 Die Hard (UHD) for $4.38 Demolition Man (HD) for $4.38 |

I have the option to redeem Star Trek Beyond on Vudu or Apple TV. Which one should I choose?
