How was the sound quality? Do you get 5.1 or are they all 2.0?

I honestly didn't notice if it was 5.1, most of the stuff was of the older kind, although Black Stallion from 1979 sounded great.

Picture quality was terrific.

Will check a few more for sound and report back.

I don't think they are 5.1, I sampled a bunch, they all seem to be coming in as 2.0

Just got an email from Filmstruck and they say that it's available on Apple TV. It also says it will be available for the PS4 in 2017.

I used it on my Apple TV last night and watched Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. Really nice app and great movie.

How's this going so far for those that have it? I'm still waiting on the PS4 APP before I jump on it.

The selection of stuff is magnificent, but the interface is terrible. It won't save my place but I'm part of the way through A movie, and I need to skip forward and back skip buttons. The scrubbing is a horrible way to have to move or were you wanting. They have said they are going to support Roku in May. Hopefully that will be better. I'm going to have to get a Roku. They said that they have no plans to support my smart TV or or Sony Blu-ray player, although right now they are compatible with Chromecast. They still need to get their shit together, and soon. Otherwise, the subscription may not have been worth it.

How's the title selection? Is it still mostly Criterion? Or have they added more TCM-style movies?

I saw that it is still not available on the PS4 until mid-2017, so I will wait.

I don't know if you've noticed, but Hollywood Suite is now playing (and making available through OnDemand) CC films.

Looks like about 16, so far. http://hollywoodsuite.ca/januscriterion/

Actually, they're not all available, at the moment.

Better than nothing, I suppose.

I said fuck it and signed up for the $99 a year deal, with the 14 day-trial. I do have a Amazon Fire, so let's see what I can stream on.

Thank you for the info! Unfortunately, I don't subscribe to those channels and wish Criterion bring their service here or let other streamers license their library too.

Re: TCM and Criterion to Offer Streaming Service, FilmStruck

Just noticed that they now have a "student" option -- if you're enrolled in school you can get Filmstruck for $39.95 every six months. You basically get charged twice a year and save $20 if you do the year plan.
