What subscription streaming services do you have?

There's a bunch right now and I'm sure there will be more to come.

This will be a multiple pick poll.

I currently have Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu and CBS All-Access. This is in addition to my Directv subscription. Chasing exclusive content and Networks/Studios creating their own services is getting somewhat annoying. There is only so much content that I can afford.

I'm sure most of you simply don't have the time or finances to subscribe to all these services and chase all these shows/movies/exclusives.

Re: What subscription streaming services do you have?

Amazon Prime

(Also get WWE Network for 2-3 months every spring.)

Re: What subscription streaming services do you have?

Netflix/Amazon Prime/Hulu/Showtime/HBO Now. Fortunately these services are the ones creating the best original content right now. Plus they are all commercial free. That is a requirement to get my subscription. If CBS ever offers an ad-free version, I'd consider adding this to my lineup.

The thing I like most about streaming is that you can manage your subscriptions online & drop or add a service when something interests you. So you can't have to carry everything all the time.

Re: What subscription streaming services do you have?

Just Hulu at the moment.

I don't really feel the need for anymore than that. I have so much in the way of unwatched DVD/BD, I'm fine with not having additional options.

The big 5 up there, HBO and SHO come with cable and then pay for top 3.

Re: What subscription streaming services do you have?

Amazon, and Hulu, plus Showtime via cable. I've been telling myself that I need Netflix since Arrested Development season 4 debuted, but I haven't been able to pull the trigger yet.

I'm down to only Netflix but it works for now as my schedule is so tight at the moment.

Re: What subscription streaming services do you have?

None. I have the time and finances and I actually gave Netflix a shot once but cancelled. As a movie lover who prefers physical media and doesn't care about TV shows, streaming is useless to me.
And I'm fully aware that I'm in the minority. Well, me and Quentin Tarantino.

Re: What subscription streaming services do you have?

Netflix/Amazon Prime as far as streaming goes. Cable pretty much fills the rest. And Vudu for my digital library me and my family use.

Netflix and Hulu. I also got cable (Rogers) along with its subscription streaming service Shomi which I got for free for 2 years.

Have Amazon Prime & Netflix (from my SNL). But most of my time is spent on watching the 25 K-dramas I d/led each week.

It's more a time issue than a money issue. I'm behind on a lot of shows, so I'm trying to work through a long list of stuff that I have easy access to. Plus, AD is on dvd, so I've already seen it. However, I do need to watch Daredevil and Jessica Jones.

Re: What subscription streaming services do you have?

I don't subscribe to more services because of the time crunch. I simply wouldn't get enough value each month out of Netflix to make it worth my while. I know because I've tried. I'd take it if offered the service for free.

Re: What subscription streaming services do you have?

Netflix, Amazon Prime, MLB.TV, NHL Gamecenter.

You'd think the guy who works for the NFL Network would have listed sports services as well. :P

Re: What subscription streaming services do you have?

Speaking about the NFL,I'm really disappointed in NFL Game Pass(Roku). One week all the games are there(from the 2012 season to the present) and the next week only the games from the past season are available(plus the Super Bowls and Pro Bowls from 2012 to present).

NFL Now should be called NFL Nothing. Last season NFL Now had endless NFL Films(including NFL Yearbook) and now with the newer version of NFL League Pass it only contains short video clips(which are 100 percent useless).

The online version of NFL League Pass is much better.

Re: What subscription streaming services do you have?

I have Amazon Prime, and my kid in college wanted Netflix so I can use that too. I haven't had the time to really dig into it, though.

I'll get HBO for GOT, and MLB.tv, and my Comcast service has many shows on demand.

Including the music services in the poll seems kind of random. :hscratch:

MLB.TV is suppose to lower prices this year because of a class action suit.

Netflix and Amazon Prime from the list.

Qello (concerts/music docs) not on the list.

Just Sling TV and MLS Live (soccer).

I had NHL for a couple years, but it was expensive and the app didn't work well on my Roku 2 after they did some update, so I dropped them.

Re: What subscription streaming services do you have?

Netflix
Amazon (through Prime)
VUDU (Not subscription but I have 500+ movies through them)

Charter Spectrum TV: I have been resisting Charter's calls to go from just their internet and streaming to going back to cable boxes. Long story...July 2014 they wanted to up my bill from $140 to $190...I said no way and dropped their TV service, just keeping their internet for $60/mo.

They called me 2 days ago with their new service..Spectrum TV:

All local channels: CBS, NBC, ABC and 25 or so more national channels (History, ESPN, etc.)
Free ROKU 3: I can keep it when/if I cancel.
HBO or Showtime: I chose HBO
$19.99 per month, permanent price.

I took it...we'll see how it is...HBO alone is like $10-$15 a month and I've never had that...so it will be nice. My bill will go from $60/mo (just internet) to $80. Should be worth it.

Sounds like a smoking good deal. Provided of course "permanent price" means the same to them as it does to us.

Re: What subscription streaming services do you have?

Currently have Netflix, Hulu (commercial free), Prime and WWE Network until Wrestlemania. I have tried Sling and think it is a good concept but the streaming wasn't very good, maybe I'll give it another chance in a few months. Charter gave me the same deal which included the Roku 3. I tried it for a month but cancelled. I don't really have a need for local channels since I have an antenna but they were charging an additional $6 or so as an added broadcast fee plus other misc. taxes and fees. It seems like cable always does that and I just don't want to deal with it anymore.

Re: What subscription streaming services do you have?

I pay for Netflix and Hulu (no ads). Amazon Prime is a bonus since I only care about shipping and occasional deals; hardly ever use the service. I leech of my parents HBO Go, Showtime Anytime and Starz. Gf pays for Spotify.

We pay for Netflix, Hulu (commercial-free), and Amazon, and we use the ad-supported versions of Crunchyroll and Pandora regularly.

I was thinking that very same thing when I saw that 'deal' for $20 for a base package to incl HBO. Cable 'offers' are NEVER what they claim. DirecTV keeps sending me come-ons for their $20 package. But then it's, oh you want to watch this in HD? that's another $10. You want a DVR? Silly you, that's another $10. And we have fees, oh yes we have fees. And pretty soon that $20 package is almost $60 with no premiums.

This is why I do not have cable/satellite but subscribe to all these streaming packages. At least there is one price that's stated clearly up front & you don't get trapped into a 2 year contract with deceptive tactics.

Netflix and Amazon prime. But I get HBO, Showtime, Starz etc online free with my DirecTV subscription.

Exactly. I looked at getting a Comcast package at $89.95 a month---with all the fees and extra charges, it would have been $139. I signed up for Sling TV streaming for $19.99 a month, and that's what they charge.
