Best private channels on Roku?
I didn't know anything about private channels on Roku until I got a new one and found out that Exploitation.TV was considered a private channel. So I looked it up and there are quite a few private channels out there.
Any favorites worth checking out? |
Re: Best private channels on Roku?
Private channels were a big thing in the past. But now that it's become so easy to make an official channel, they've kinda died off. There's a few that are still good.
I use iTunes Podcasts. It's a great way to listen to podcasts on your TV. It also works with video podcasts. https://owner.roku.com/add/ITPC The Nowhere Man has made some good private channels. The best is Nowhere TV which streams from various websites. http://www.thenowhereman.com/roku/ If you like Adult content, you'll love this: https://owner.roku.com/Add/porn SugarDVD and AdultDVDEmpire both have Netflix-style unlimited streaming services that use private channels. And a few Adult websites like Reality Kings, Naughty America and VideoBox also have private channels. |

I forgot, there's one more private channel that I recommend. It's the Speed Test channel. Basically, it just runs various speed tests from speedtest.net. It's useful when you need to troubleshoot streaming problems.

https://owner.roku.com/Add/speedtest I watch NHK World out of Japan somewhat often. Everything is subtitled at the very least, although I have caught several "Americans traveling Japan" shows that are mostly spoken English. |
