Just announced today. Good news.

If you subscribe to Starz it's user authenticated of course.

Much more user friendly for me than firing up the Xbox 360 to watch Starz content.

With Ash vs Evil Dead premiering in October, those of you who don't subscribe can now leach off a friend's log-in than download torrents.

Unfortunately Starz isn't like HBO or Showtime and doesn't have a self contained non-cable streaming service.

Starz will launch its TV Everywhere service Starz Play on Roku players, the network said Tuesday. The deal allows consumers with Roku Players and Roku TV models the ability to access Starz Play who are authenticated Starz premium subscribers, said network officials. Needs authenticated?? The new trend is allowing subscriptions on Roku or whatever, stand alone, like HBO and many others are doing now. Starz is a little behind the times....

The free episodes are in 5.1 Dolby Digital Plus, and looks like a decent selection of movies for subscribers. With Netflix pissing me off, I'd pay for this if I could get it without a cable subscription.

Crappy app. The audio doesn't work. Sucks since I need it to get episode 2.7 of Power which for whatever reason DTV doesn't offer in it's VOD.

I had that problem too. You need to change your Roku main audio setting to stereo and then it will work.
