Re: Shudder - AMC's streaming service for Horror fans
Anybody have any issues canceling Shudder? I canceled back in July and was impressed with how easy it was. I shouldn’t have been impressed. I just noticed they have continued billing me every month. I’ve submitted a request for a refund (thanks to my posts on here I was able to go back and figure out when it was!), but I’m not holding my breath.
What honks me off more is that there are things I would have been watching! I really want to watch One Cut of the Dead, but don’t want to log in now.

Shudder is doing a watch party in a few minutes with Exorcist III. Watch the movie on ShudderTV and follow the tweets using #ShudderShutIn

... and f—k Shudder. “We have no record of you contacting us. How did you cancel? Deleting the app does not cancel the service.”
No shit. I would rather you just told me “We are going to screw you, too bad” than be condescending.

I've been watching Cursed Films, which is a Five-Part Series that interviews Cast & Crew of films such as The Crow, The Omen, Poltergeist, The Exorcist & Twilight Zone: The Movie on legends of cursed productions.
Episodes have been short but very interesting.

^For me, far too short. It feels like 15 minutes are spent on the actual subject and the rest of the running time is like “Let’s take a trip around town to see if anything similar is going on”. Granted, I’ve only seen 2 episodes (Exorcist & Twilight Zone) and that’s what I gathered.

HELL YES!!
He has confirmed Blood Sucking Freaks as the second film tomorrow, with Chris Jericho as the guest. He says the first movie "is an all time, feel-good classic, and we have the star of that movie". There's supposed to be a lot more 70's films this season.
Joe Bob Briggs on Life in Quarantine, Outrage Culture, and Returning to the Drive-In

They don't have many 70's movies right now. Here's the current list:
Dead of Night
Deep Red
Don't Torture a Duckling
Ganga and Hess
God Told Me To
Hands of the Ripper
Images
Magic
Mark of the Devil
Season of the Witch
The Baby
The Cat O'Nine Tails
The Exorcist
The Hills Have Eyes (already used for Dinners of Death 2018 marathon)
The House That Dripped Blood
Thirst
Tourist Trap (already used in July 2018 marathon)
Twins of Evil
Vampire Circus
Wake in Fright
Zombie
Which one of these is an "all time, feel-good classic"? It's probably The Exorcist with Linda Blair as a guest star.

This statement was released as well:
Listen up, people. THE LAST DRIVE-IN is a CORONAVIRUS-FREE ZONE. Given a choice between deep analysis of global infectious disease and pure escapism, we’re going for the shallow option.
To do that, we have two bona fide cult classics. The first includes one of the most beloved actresses of the eighties, who will be joining me as my special guest.
I'm thinking it could be The Fog, with Adrienne Barbeau as the guest.

^Fog just had it's 40th Anniversary a few days ago. It was EVERYWHERE on my (Horror) Social media. If that's the pick, then this would be a nice wrap-up celebration.

Re: Shudder - AMC's streaming service for Horror fans
The consensus speculation I've seen on the Joe Bob FB group and Shudder subreddit is that one of the movies will be Maniac.
I finished Bloodsucking Freaks last night. I'd only been familiar with it because it was name dropped on a skit on De La Soul's first album. That's it, so I didn't know what to expect going in. Um, I appreciated the copious amounts of nudity and could laugh at how over the top it is, but overall it wasn't really my thing. I'm not really into torture movies.
I joined Shudder in October specifically to watch Joe Bob host Halloween. Ever since, I've been working my way through all of the Last Drive In movies, mostly chronologically. The only older ones I have left now are the Phantasm movies. I had to make a spreadsheet of which ones I've already watched and which ones Shudder lost the rights to, so I can periodically check and see if those missing flicks pop back up.
The other night I watched Pieces for the first time. I vividly remember hearing the radio ads for it back in the early 80s, it being a midnight movie at a local theater. Because of those and decades of build up, I thought it would be a journey into terror. Nope! It was actually quite silly. I love watching these old movies.
