Beam content from iPhone to Amazon Fire Stick?
 

Is this possible? For some reason it's frustratingly hard to get a straight answer by googling this.

Yes, with the AllCast app. Though I'm not sure what content exactly is beam'able.

Thanks, but that seems to be limited to personal pics and videos. I was hoping to stream YouTube, websites, etc.

Can't you do Youtube directly from the Fire stick? Or is this a case where you don't have wifi and want to run off your data plan?

What you're looking for is a Chromecast. You can cast an exact image of your phone screen.

I believe, as you've discovered, that the Fire does not do this. You can only fling select content.

Yep, really just verifying if I need to buy a chromecast. I bought one of the $15 fire sticks, or whatever the cheap price was at launch.

Yeah. You should be able to cast YouTube with an iPhone and firetv, but cannot confirm.
