Re: Hulu -- News and Notable New additions

Humor aside. Maybe just "HULU Streaming Service". Similar to the Paramount+, Disney+, Max, Peacock, etc threads or "HULU News and Discussions" to match Netflix thread.

with Humor call it "HULU the once free service that became subscription based and later bundled with other services that includes Live TV now"

They're not going away for me. Some are single episodes, others are a week's worth of a show I tape every day. No matter what I do or where I delete them from, they're always back the next time I use the app on any device.

FYI, if you're trying to catch up on Fear the Walking Dead to get caught up with the final season on AMC, you better hurry. I saw the entire series will be dropped from Hulu in 8 days.

Re: Hulu -- News and Notable New additions

In case you missed it, Hulu removed all it's AMC content on Tuesday. That also included the entire series of Killing Eve and Fear the Walking dead.

Re: Hulu -- News and Notable New additions

Yeah I had to to binge the last season of FTWD before they pulled it.

So the final season of FTWD won't be on Hulu?

Yeah I don't know. I also scrambled in the last week to binge season 7 and finished it on Monday.

Re: Hulu -- News and Notable New additions

FYI, check your Hulu watchlist. Looks like some WB shows are being dropped from Hulu this Friday. Blindspot, The Company you Keep, The Last Ship are a few I noticed. The Last Ship is already on Max now.

As Deadline now reports, Hulu is purging some licensed titles to save money. Some weren't suppose to leave the service for months to a few years.

The titles I mentioned were included. I suspect the AMC titles were also part of it too.

Re: Hulu -- News and Notable New additions

Anyone watching "Stars on Mars" on Hulu? According to IMDB, "Follows a simulation of what it might be like to be an astronaut on Mars, with celebrity contestants competing to be the last one standing, the "celebronaut."

Yeah, it's as enjoyable as it sounds. It's somewhat painful to watch but since I've already invested watching the first 4 episodes I feel compelled to finish the series. Hopefully with only 12 contestants to eliminate, from Ariel Winter to Tallulah Willis (William Shatner really only issues the challenges and sort of narrates), there can't be too many. One of the reviews called it "So it's Celebrity Big Brother, in a SciFi set." I admit I want to know how it's recorded....entirely on some soundstage or mixed with some EXTERIOR Utah desert or something with an orange/red filter added for "MARS"

I don't know if Hulu targets its advertising, but I am seeing a lot of ads for ED and HIV medication.

Honestly, it seems like that's all that gets advertised on regular television anymore as well

Hulu Live down for hours. But that price increase coming in October seems warranted…

Thank you Disney

This is what I get on YTTV all the time. Drives me fucking bonkers. And Google has a way to adjust your advertising and I still get this shit.

It is mostly all I get as well. So fucking annoying that I basically quit using Hulu entirely. It is a free subscription so I guess I can't complain too much but it definitely keeps me from utilizing it very often.

Re: Hulu -- News and Notable New additions

Not sure when it happened, but Game Show Network is now available on Hulu Live.

It must be recent, because I tried to watch my cousin on Split Second game show a few months ago, and the channel wasn’t available on Live at the time.

Re: Hulu -- News and Notable New additions

How do you reset tv shows so when you stream them a second time around many of them won't show the last minute of an episode(instead of the entire episode) and then go on to the next episode? I don't think I have that problem with any other streaming service.

Having had Direct TV until this past week, those commercials are on ALL THE TIME. So it's not just YTTV or Hulu.

Re: Hulu -- News and Notable New additions

The only way to avoid medication commercials these days is to watch channels for children. Watch daytime TV? Of course you need diabetes medication. Watch ESPN? Here's Frank Thomas selling you testosterone. Up late? You need viagra!

Re: Hulu -- News and Notable New additions

It looks like Hulu is trying to get in on the Suits popularity by pushing Burn Notice (another USA show) on the main landing page.

Even if watch something where the target audience is 20's/30's and you avoid the ED/Diabetes commercials you will get hit with Depression,Prep and STD commercials

Those breezy USA shows from 10 - 15 years ago are perfect binge watches. Burn Notice, Psych, Burn Notice, Suits, Royal Pains, Burn Notice, Covert Affairs, Burn Notice, etc; and I think Sirens would do well with a reboot given how popular the clips are on social media.
