I believe this is correct. However, this use case might be a little different if the stick is pre-registered to the primary account and stays that way. It's not like the brother would be signing in as himself and sharing the prime.

Not sure about the rules regarding streaming from multiple locations, though.

This is the part I'm wondering about. I think I'll try and see what happens.

"You can stream up to two titles at the same time using the same Amazon.com account. You can stream the same title to no more than one device at a time."

Re: The Amazon Prime Streaming Thread

Amazon is now putting pop-ups on the screen during the ending credits, even on movies you're paying separately to buy or rent! My plans for getting Prime are off now, and I won't use them for rentals anymore.

Re: The Amazon Prime Streaming Thread

Pop-ups are on PC only? But the screen at least stays full-size unlike at the end of Netflix titles?

Yeah, Amazon gets carried away with ads, IMDB, too. It's why I moved to Apple and iTunes for music and videos.

Re: The Amazon Prime Streaming Thread

It was on my Roku 1, which so far has been showing Netflix with no interruptions. It doesn't seem Netflix is able to update that model any further, thankfully- I get 5.1 audio with the best possible picture quality which is all that matters. I was going to get Amazon Prime but not now- they'll be getting a letter from me though.

It would really, really, really behoove Amazon to join the other streaming providers and put a feature into their damn app which allowed me to case whatever I wanted to watch, especially since it effectively renders my Chromecast worthless, and my BD player's version of the setup sucks. Assuming case is autocorrect for choose... nope, still didn't make sense.

Other streaming apps allow me to select what I want to watch on the iPhone app and send it to the streaming device, BD player, Smart TV, or Chromecast stick. Amazon does not. Accursed autocorrect. The interface for Amazon on my BD player sucks like an industrial carpet cleaner and is not set up the same way it is everything else for some reason, so it would be useful.

Re: The Amazon Prime Streaming Thread

Are you saying you want to be able to cast Amazon content?

Yes. Hulu, Netflix, and even YouTube after pairing let me cast content to my BD player, Smart TV, and Chromecast stick. Amazon doesn't. And like I said, it especially irritating since the setup on my Song for AIV is really stupid.

Re: The Amazon Prime Streaming Thread

I seriously doubt that many people do that or even want to do that. So I wouldn't imagine it is a priority for Amazon.

Epix signed a new contract extension with Amazon Prime.

EPIX Announces Extension to Prime Instant Video Agreement

NEW YORK -- February 23, 2015 -- EPIX today announced that it has extended its agreement with Amazon to license thousands of new releases, classic library titles and original programs for Prime Instant Video. Programming from the agreement includes movies from EPIX studio partners, Paramount Pictures, Lionsgate and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures, and delivers new releases such as Transformers: Age of Extinction, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Interstellar, Selma and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, along with classic big film franchises including James Bond, Star Trek, Rocky and more.

"Programming from EPIX and its three studio partners has been exceptionally popular among Prime members and by extending this agreement we continue to deliver on our promise to provide great titles for Prime Instant Video," said Brad Beale, Vice President of Digital Video Content Acquisition at Amazon. "Our goal is to offer the best entertainment selection to Prime members and we are excited to continue to add even more hits from EPIX including blockbuster movies such as Transformers: Age of Extinction, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1."

"We are excited to continue our relationship with Amazon and to share our movies, concerts, comedy specials and original documentaries with Amazon Prime members," said Mark Greenberg, President and CEO of EPIX. "This partnership highlights the incredible value of the EPIX content offering and provides yet another example of our ability to find creative ways to deliver that content to consumers across multiple platforms."

Since every other streaming service did it, I assumed it was just standard issue. I can't figure out how to run AIV on Chromecast without it.

Guess the rumors of Sling getting Epix weren't true.

Oh well, I have Prime, as well as can get Epix on Demand through Roku, as we subscribe to Epix on Dish.

Thanks for that! Need to add several of those to my watch list. I guess at least Tusk would count for this month's Challenge....

Amazon and Hulu are bidding on exclusive streaming rights to Seinfeld. I really hope Amazon wins as I have no desire to use Hulu.

If Amazon gets it, I'll probably watch. But I'm sure not going to add another subscription just for Seinfeld.
