Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

I think vudu should run this type of promotion more frequently. Granting me the 2 buck discount GUARANTEES I will buy something I probably wouldn't have. They're literally forcing me to spend money.

"And You Thought Your Parents Were Weird" or something is what I 'watched', and when I got back home and found the movie still had a 1/2 hour to go, it was perfect, since I like to have something playing in the background while I do the rounds on the DVDTalk forums, before settling in to pay attention to something.

SO MUCH WINNING

How soon do you get the credit after watching? I had Bandslam on in the background at work today. I'm new to this Vudu promotion.

Email says on or around 9/29. Last month mine came quicker, within 48hrs.

My code showed up in my email today. I didn't get the promotional email so I didn't know the exact terms.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Quick question if someone can follow me for a minute...and hopefully have an answer.

My buddy and I had linked our accounts years ago...2016 maybe? Back when you could share your library with someone else and have their movies show up in yours, vice versa. Then VUDU stopped doing that I believe, but I still had my buddies titles in my library with a total around 670. Yesterday Movies Anywhere asked me to re-confirm my linking of accounts, which I had done a year ago or so with no titles missing, then after I re-linked yesterday, my library stands at 324 titles.

Has this happened to anyone before? I reached out and spoke with someone at MA last night and there said they were able to do something to make my titles show back up within 24 hours. Not seeing anything yet, and will wait until tomorrow to reach out again. Just wondering if anyone else had run into this issue before...Thanks for any help!

Did you ever get yours? Still waiting on mine. I emailed Vudu support earlier in the week. Not hearing anything from them, yesterday I tweeted Vudu support and Atom. The latter responded immediately, looked into it, and relayed that it was Vudu's responsibility to send out the code. Okay, but at least they acknowledged me.

This morning I finally got this email from Vudu:

Thank you for contacting Vudu Customer Care.

We're truly sorry to hear that you still haven't got promotional email. In this case the promotion terms state that promotional email will be received on or around 09-30-2019. If after these date you still haven't got the email please do not hesitate in contacting us so we can investigate further.

We're looking forward to solve this matter. We're happy to assist you.

Best regards,

Eddie O.
Vudu Customer Care
Which is bullshit because no where in the terms does it specify that the email will be received around 9/30. The only mention of a delivery date is: "Reward sent by email within 48 hours after purchase." I've done a couple of these movie ticket offers with Vudu in the past without incident, but now I'm wary to do any in the future. It's a big hassle and the longer you wait to see a movie, the better the chance is that it will then be relegated to one of the smaller screens in the theater. And while I like the qualifying movie I bought (Sicario), I wouldn't have gotten it at Vudu if it wasn't for the ticket offer. I would've picked it up for much cheaper from a digital code reseller elsewhere.

That's why I'm not 100% digital yet. What's the plan if they were ever to shut down?

Regarding the Rambo Movie Ticket Offer. There's a thread about it in the Vudu Support Forum. If you still haven't received your tickets, I suggest you post there and send a PM to FelipeF (Vudu Forum Mod). He's pretty good about getting stuff fixed.

I got a Rambo Ticket code that I'm not going to use.

If someone wants it and plans to use it, drop me a PM.

Thanks. I looked over there a few days ago, but nothing turned up. (Also searching that forum is pretty painful if you're not registered.) This was prior to that thread's creation, though. I'll register and post over there.

And thanks again for the Blu-Ray and MeWe code buying recommendations. Made a purchase at each, though a couple of people never responded to my PMs at the former, which initially turned me off.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

MeWe is a little cliquish. They have problems with scammers. So some sellers avoid newbies.

If you're going to use MeWe, I suggest you put a Feedback Thread on your Profile page. Then ask sellers to post positive feedback after the transaction. Once you've got a Feedback Thread with a few posts, more sellers will trust you.

I'd also recommend checking a seller's profile for a feedback thread before sending them money. Or at least make sure they didn't just register in the past couple days.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Here's a few more good sites for codes.

https://www.uvdigitalnow.com/ - About once a month he puts out preorders for upcoming codes. They can sellout really fast. The prices aren't as good as they used to be. But he's a reliable seller.

https://happywatching.com/ - Usually overpriced, but often has good sale prices.

https://vifgam.com/ - Decent prices. Often has good bundle deals.

And these last two sites are search engines for code stores. Usually the prices are insane. But if you're looking for a rare code, it might be the only way to find one.

I’ve been waiting for a good price in Shazam and didn’t pull the trigger at $9.99 recently, so this was even better. I wasn’t really looking to pick up Godzilla, but I got it for that price.

There are some other nice deals, such as classics in the four-for-$15 offer, and the Paramount by-decade 10-packs for $25, as long as you don’t duplicate a lot of what you already have.

Went through something similar from April to August. Don't give up hope and don't give up requesting help.

I get the feeling that VUDU's customer service likes playing games with customers, in the hopes they will give up on fixing the issue.

If you're having serious problems, I suggest using the official support forum. Start a post there and try to go through FelipeF. He seems to be able to get stuff fixed.
