Very nice Though...if I D2D'ed Used Cars, I should be able to upgrade at a fair price, not the $13.99 jazz....or would that be another D2D for $2 or $5? Just seems like a punishment of sorts.

There's a 50% Off Recent Horror sale for Halloween. Probably a one-day sale. Prices will drop at Midnight PST.

Can't wait for November. I'm so sick of horror movie sales.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Quick question. Are there any other retailers that do like Walmart? Specifically, when you buy certain physical titles on disc, you gain immediately access to digital copies? I'm guessing no, but just wanted to double check. I wish Amazon did that.

Best Buy has done it on occasion. They did it with Spider-Man Homecoming

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Amazon did it years ago (back in 2009/2010). I ended up with a couple dozen movies, all of them SD quality even though I bought Blurays.

They still have the old FAQ page up:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.ht...cId=1000454101

That's interesting. So you got two codes for one title? (Assuming the disc came with a code as well.)

Very cool. I'm surprised more companies don't do this.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

I'm really moving away from purchasing physical copies. We are downsizing in advance of retirement, and I am putting as much stuff on hard drives or purchasing through streaming services as much as possible...

Was this with shipping? I did in store pickup and didn't receive the digital.

I wish they would have continued to do this (albeit HD when purchasing HD, etc). Or like Autorip, you get it when purchasing a qualifying title. And also like when Autorip was first introduced, go back to all purchases and provide he digital copy. Especially now that they are a MA provider.

After reading some of the FAQ, I think I did get some of these back then, but only received the "rental" version not the purchased version.

It should have been with both, assuming that you preordered it.
It may have just been for the UHD version though. That's the one I bought for the exclusive Steelbook.
I got my HD Digital code like two day before release.

It may be the UHD version. I bought the 3D version. Or maybe it was just not the 3D version.

That's what I got--the rental. The idea is that you could watch the rental to tide you over until your physical copy arrived.

Thanks to MA, if you had purchased Unlawful Entry through Amazon (or anywhere else), it should show up in your VUDU as of today. Fantastic Kurt Russell flic (but I'm biased).

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

There is a "High Score" sale today (all video game related stuff), and it's got a lot of good stuff. I could make a serious dent in my wallet today.

https://www.vudu.com/movies/#uiList/68/0

And just a bit of warning, a ton of the video game docs are not MA or UV. That probably won't stop me, but I know it will stop some of you.

Any recommendations on which docs are good? I think I've only watched King of Kong.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Honestly, I've only seen King of Kong like you. I have it on DVD and I believe (somebody can correct me if I'm wrong), but it's D2D or M2D, so no need to spend $4.99 for me if I want it on digital (DVD is enough honestly).

I originally had a list of 9 deep. I ended up selecting 4, 3 of which are docs (the last three in the list).

Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist $4.99
Man vs Snake $4.99
Ecstasy of Order: Tetris Masters $4.99
Lost Arcade $4.99

I almost got Rooster Teeth: Fails of the Weak, but bailed at the last second...I'll stick with Red vs Blue (have the first 13 seasons). But those jumped out at me the most.

It's only available SD digitally.

I picked up the two documentary bundle of Gameplay (a history of video game documentary) and Plastic Galaxy (about the Kenner Star Wars toys). $4.99 for both HDX seemed like it was worth a blind buy. Also got Special When Lit because I love Pinball.

I imagine those two Hitman movies are terrible, huh? I had to laugh that they're $4.99 each or sold as a bundle for $14.99.

Tempted to buy Wargames though I don't really need to see it again. My son really enjoyed Ready Player One, so he'd probably like seeing it.

Is this a weekend sale or only today?

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

The first Hitman movie isn't bad but Agent 47 is pretty brutal and unintentionally funny. As far as how long this sale lasts, no idea. I would guess this weekend but don't hold me to it.

2 for $10 TV seasons? That was, literally, once and for one day only.
