Does the discount expire on 10/31 or does the code to enable the discount expire on that date?

I'd buy the blu-rays and do the digital conversion for that one. But then again, I bought that full set for $15 a few years ago, which was probably an exception.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Just out of curiosity...has anybody tried to use the 30% off on a D2D order (I know it's a shot in the dark)? If so, I could easily mount up about 30-40 discs. If not, I'm struggling a bit to find a bundle or season worth it for me.

I was pondering on getting the Star Wars 1-6 movies. With discount, it's $70 plus tax. Still pretty high though.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Looks like the price for Bluray D2D conversions might be going up. Someone on the official forum spotted the new graphics. It says BD > HDX conversions are $5.00 ($2.50 each if you do 10+).

I don't know if this price change has taken effect yet. So if you've got some BD conversions waiting, you better do them before the price increase

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

I ended up using my 30% Off coupon on The Walking Dead: Season 7. It dropped the price from $42 down to $29. I was going to buy it at full price, so the discount was nice.

I was thinking of buying American Horror Story: Season 1-4 Bundle ($59). That would make it around $41 for the 4 seasons, which is a great price. But they're available to stream at Netflix, Amazon and Hulu. It's kinda hard to justify buying them when they're streaming everywhere.

Yeah, heard about this too but supposedly the change hasn't happened yet as in when you checkout...as such I will be doing probably about 30-40 this weekend. And then...not doing it ever again. It's ridiculous, but they will realize when D2D drops by 75% (or more)...that their attempt to gouge will fail. Just my opinion.

Too bad MGM never got on board. I think that's all I have left, as well as the Criterions. If/when the price goes up, that will be the end of converting for me.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

For what it's worth, I sent vudu customer service a message on facebook, and they replied immediately that the banner is an error, that there is no price increase, and the site should be updated shortly.

Well that is good to know. But I think they're pondering on doing a price increase at some point.

I think I might grab this with my 30% off. I really can't go along with anything else, and it would be nice to have this digitally. Thanks for posting

Nice find...I'm tempted, a lot actually but I have to watch movies like that late at night since my kid is well 1 1/2 and my wife is too scared to watch it . And actually after reading a couple of reviews, I might be too.

But nice find. Anyway, digging around on VUDU today...found the following couple of television shows, each with 3 seasons, but all seasons are at $4.99 each. Pretty good value (maybe not for the first season, but the other two seasons have a lot more episodes), not sure if I'm going to pull the trigger though, but I'll share. Link is to the first season and then you can go to the All Seasons tab to find the rest of them.

Haunted Collector (was cancelled after three seasons) $4.99 a season

Curse of Oak Island (was renewed for a 4th season) $4.99 a season

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

I just noticed that a movie on my wishlist, 2008's The Ruins is on sale for $4.99 HDX. I've never seen it and am not really into Horror genre but I loved the book (and its author Scott Smith did the screenplay, as he did in his ONLY other book, A Simple Plan). Hope it's not too disgustingly gory...

$6.66 HDX Halloween Sale

http://www.vudu.com/movies/#featured...se-Horror-Sale

Awesome sale on some new release Horror flicks. Here's some of the titles:

The Conjuring 2
The Purge: Election Year
10 Cloverfield Lane
Lights Out
The Other Side of the Door
Clown
Neon Demon
Rob Zombie's 31
Green Room
The Witch
Phantasm: Ravager
The Ones Below
Bone Tomahawk

Neon Demon includes the Unrated version and an Audio Commentary version.

Rob Zombie's new film 31 gets mixed reviews, but I thought it was a fun movie.

I'm still debating on Tell Me How I Die, Viral, Within, The Mind's Eye, and The Other Ones.

Great price but after reading Ruins plot, I don't think I can do it. It's that whole claustrophobia thing which I sorta suffer from (anything with crowds). I'll pass.

Wow, Neon Demon just came out recently too...that's fantastic...and it looks like Vudu is finally learning about Audio Commentaries on their extras. I don't normally spend anything above $5 for a title, but with the extras it feels like a gimme.

I really hope this becomes a new trend, like how they've added so many other extras.
