Something else to consider, and perhaps it's been mentioned already--if you're spending a bunch out of your own pocket on VUDU, you might want to purchase the Spark Media Player from Walmart. I don't know how good it is, but you'd practically be picking it up for free since it costs $24.96, but comes with $25 credit for VUDU. I've seen it on the shelf at my local store and have considered buying it. To this point, I've only used VUDU credits from promotions, BD/DVD purchases, etc.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes
Update: I just pulled the T&C for the Sparq credits:
1. You register your Sparq via your Vudu account (creating an account if you don't already have one).
2. Vudu emails you a $5 redemption code immediately, and then one every 30 days until you have $25
3. The code they send must be redeemed within 30 days. Once redeemed, the credit is good for 30 days.
So technically, you could receive code #1, delay redemption for a couple of weeks, then wait for code #2 to show up (which you would redeem immediately). You'll have $10 in credits at one time for a couple of weeks. Long enough to put EXACTLY ten movies in your D2D queue (to get the 50% discount). Cash out, letting the $10 credit pay for your upgrades. You'll have to wait 60 days before you could do it a 2nd time with codes #3 and #4. Code #5 would be an orphan.
Now, if one is planning to do a shit ton of D2D conversions anyway, then waiting to get $10 in usable credits at one time OR having Vudu pay for $5 in conversions every month is a wash. Just take the credit, load your D2D cart with at least 10 titles, and cash out.

Did you get the program to work with Vista? I haven't upgraded my adobe stuff and tried it yet.

I'll know for sure tomorrow, but I'm hopeful as the only step I can't do right now is put in a disc. Everything seems to load and work fine once I unblocked the program in the properties...

Only certain studios allow UV conversions, Disney is not one of them, so Star Wars will NOT work.
Most movies after 2013 will not work, even if the website says it does.
Outside of that, there are tons of errors with several movies that aren't working. It doesn't seem that Vudu is fixing them either. There's an entire thread of those on the Vudu forum:

EDIT: What DVDChris said as well. But to speed things up, just pop the disc in. You'll know whether or not it's eligible. Or you can look on that link he provided first.

And that's just it. Just get a massive stack and start putting them in. You'll get rejections, but a lot you won't. Depends on what you have.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes
So, this might be a bargain for someone to use their recent $10 credit on. I found out that there is a Chicken Run/Wallace & Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit HDX bundle on VUDU available for $9.99. Neither title is available on Blu-ray, and the bundle price is way cheaper than buying on other digital providers.

You get what you get. Disney and MGM won't participate in it at all, among others. And it's clearly they Vudu's interest in updating it is all-but nonexistent. Still, you can sure get cool mileage out of what is there. The Indiana Jones movies are in the wrong aspect ratios anyway.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes
Here's another tip. If the movie is eligible for D2D, but it doesn't work with the Vudu software, try converting it with the CinemaNow or Flixster software.
https://us.cinemanow.com/player/download
https://video.flixster.com/d2d
I think it only works with DVDs. And they don't offer bulk discounts, so it's $5 each HD conversion. But as long as the movie is UV-compatible, it'll transfer over to your Vudu library.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes
Also...doesn't have to be a Blu Ray...regular DVD's work fine too...instead of $2 though...its $5.00 to upgrade to HDX. Its cut by 50% too if you convert 10 or more per time. I think the most I converted at once was like 35-40. I've done it a few times.
I need to go back through my collection and convert some more. Maybe this week when I'm off work.

Also, it's best to checkout in smaller batches (10-20 movies) rather than leaving stuff in your cart. Some people keep adding stuff for weeks and doing one huge order. And occasionally, you hear someone complain that their cart was deleted, and they'd have to reload all those titles.
