People are reporting there's Vudu Codes for Robocop on both the Robocop BD and The Terminator BD in Wal-Mart's $7.88 bin. Here's the thread from the Vudu Forum:

Correct, Walmart now requires studios to include UV or VUDU digital copies on all BDs that hit the $7.88 bin. They are de facto exclusives.

Damn. Figures. Well, I'm still not shopping there, but it's a hell of a good way to incentivize buyers.

WWE Slam City Season 1 for free.

http://www.vudu.com/movies/#!overvie...-City-Season-1

Seems to be some sort of animated stop-motion comedy.

There are even more WWE freebies, the first episodes of several different series from them.

I still find dealing with VUDU's customer service an unpleasant experience. It's certainly not a customer-oriented business.

Why do you have to contact them so much?

I've had to contact them and they've always replied (to ask for an extension, they said no, but I figured might as well try (on a 24-hour rental) and issues with Roku (ended up being my fault, username/password mix-up).

For me, I've had to contact them about discs not working within the D2D program, Blu-ray titles showing up as DVDs (and needing to get a refund for paying more for the higher charge) and getting rid of free titles that I didn't want. Probably 10-15 total issues, 2/3 of the time I email, the other times I've called.

I've noticed that their phone support is pretty good, but email support is really, really lackluster. If they don't instantly know the answer, they'll sit on the email for a week or more.

I have over 600 UV titles and a small number of issues have arisen due to their shoddy website performance. Their customer service is mediocre and inept, to put bluntly. One of the poorer ones I have dealt with on the Internet. Most importantly, the customer service reps are extremely hostile to fixing issues of VUDU's own fault, while often being rude and dismissive.

Do you want me to continue? People should be aware that VUDU has shills posting to various Blu-ray-related sites.

Dallas Buyer's Club is the $0.99 Rental Of The Day (HDX).

Once the rental is purchased, you have up to 30 days to start watching.
Once the movie is started, you can watch as many times as you want for 24-hours.

That's not new. I've browsed various forums for codes and people have been sharing accounts for ages.

Are you implying I'm a Vudu shill?

Yep, joined 13 years ago in a nefarious plan to shill for a company that didn't exist for a service that didn't exist.

I've had a different experience. The two times I contacted them they were quick and precise. I've rented countless of movies and redeemed many codes. Never had an issue that wasn't of my own doing (i.e. not finishing a movie on time or mixing up passwords).

In the past, the sharing was done on an Ultraviolet level. I'd share my UV account with my brother and best friend, and they'd set up their own Vudu and UV accounts to be able to see my UV-compatible titles.

Vudu orchestrating the sharing is new.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Ah. It'd be cool to get five people together and rent the 99 cent rental of the day every day. For six bucks each you get 30 rentals a month. If I haven't seen the movie and it's not available on Netflix or Amazon, I rent it. 3 times in the past month I've rented a movie and within a week it appears on Netflix or Amazon, pisses me off

Are we sure the rentals would transfer, and not just the owned libraries?

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Good question.

Now if I give someone access, can I take their access away, kind of a rolling five? Or once I do the five I can never share with anybody again? What if you have a fight with one of those five?

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

I briefly looked at the FAQ (their website sort of stinks) and it appears easy to remove people from your 'circle'.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

It looks like this is the same old UV account sharing that's always been available. They've just built it into the Vudu website and streamlined the process of adding new friends.

So who wants to share? I have (HDX) all 8 Harry Potters, all 5 Resident Evils, Weeds complete series, Twilight the complete movie series, and Man of Steel.

No, I wasn't implying that at all. It has happened on other forums, however. A number of their employees monitor discussions, occasionally inserting themselves into the process.

I was merely reporting my poor experiences with VUDU. You can take it or leave it, if you think I have any agenda but the truth.

I have no doubt every single company has customers with nothing but praise, nothing but legitimately horrible experiences, and everything in-between.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Sharing sounds interesting, wonder how easy it is to add and remove people since you're limited to 5? What if I've got 5 people, dump one of them to add someone else who has different movies, and then decide to re-add the first person I dumped by dropping someone else (and then possibly doing the same to them later?) Could you just add someone, watch every movie they have, then drop them and add someone else, rinse and repeat?

Apparently yes, it's that easy.
