It was fine for an 80's movie. Some cringey scenes and bad acting. Joyce Hyser was quite attractive, but damn hard to believe she's 61 now.

Thanks, y'all. I'll try calling, and I'm super-glad that it's not just me. That would be weird(er).

10 episodes of the long-running PBS travel series Globe Trekker is on Vudu is available to watch for free with Ads.

If you're a travel enthusiast, it's a solid show.

In fact, episodes 9 and 10 of this collection features a very young Bradley Cooper before he became big as an actor.

Thanks for the heads up. I picked this up with my 20% off code from watching a Free movie promo last week.

I saw Zu Nim / Ashley L post on MeWe the other day that there were new 3D bundles, but didn't realize it wasn't released.

I think I'll get Aquaman if I get another coupon if/when they do it again.

And just a reminder for those that might not be aware, only certain devices (blu-ray players, Playstations, and some TV's, etc.) can play back 3D via Vudu app . AFAIK, no Roku's can play back 3D from Vudu.

Here are the ones they posted:
4 bundles are now UltraViolet:
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald 2D/3D Bundle (2018)
Hotel Transylvania 3 2D/3D Bundle (2018)
Smallfoot 2D/3D Bundle (2018)
Venom 2D/3D Bundle (2018)

5 bundles are now Movies Anywhere:
Aquaman 2D/3D Bundle (2018)
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald 2D/3D Bundle (2018)
Hotel Transylvania 3 2D/3D Bundle (2018)
Smallfoot 2D/3D Bundle (2018)
Venom 2D/3D Bundle (2018)

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Oh, I was interested in Aquaman 2D/3D so I'll finally have one 3D movie available for streaming. But then I will miss out on 4K. Why can't it be a 4k/3D bundle Have to think about this a little more.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

The 2D copies port to Movies Anywhere but I donít think they support 3D there. My TVís Vudu app is the only one that supports their 3D, and it canít output Dolby Digital Plus so if they have a 3D movie with Atmos then Iím screwed (got a 4K Roku stick to get around the sound problem, of course that canít access the 3D titles.)

They had a 3D disc of Transylvania 3 ready to go in Italy at least, but pulled it at the last minute. Donít really want to succumb to digital but Iím a 3D addict- will probably rewatch the first 2 movies first to see if I really need the sequel- didnít like the first one much, 2nd one was a lot better.

Does Vudu 3D work on VR headsets, like the Oculus Go?

I have most of those anyway, maybe not Piranha 3DD. Think just the first but remember really not liking second. Wasn’t David Hasselhoff in that or something?
But those newer bundles with the animated and Aquaman at $20 for both versions, early and all extras. If this is new wave then sign me up. Even $25 ain’t bad for the whole package, sometimes earlier than physical and easy access...

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Masters Of Horror: Season 1 & 2 are $6.99 (HDX) each.

This is probably a misprice since individual episodes are $5.99 (SD).

Season 2 only has 7 episodes (out of 13). Hopefully the missing episodes will be added later.

Wish I wasnít so weak. These movies/shows arenít universally loved, but I quite enjoy them. Already own the DVD boxset and the budget Blu-ray collections, but this price is hard to resist.

The episodes are hit and miss, but the hits are pretty good. I'd pay $6.99 just for Cigarette Burns.

Was season 2 ever released on Bluray? Before today, the streaming versions for both seasons were SD. This is the first time I've seen them streaming in HD.

I have almost all these titles in HDX. But I'll probably get Murder on the Orient Express (2017) & The Post (2018) in UHD.
Two movies which I have not purchased on Blu-ray yet. But for $5 each in UHD it's a buy.

Love Simon is probably my favorite film on that list, but it’s really not a movie that needs 4K. Murder on the Orient Express is a good call, as that looked great in theaters. Might get Logan as I still don’t have that in any form.

Even though Vudu lets you 'buy' Masters of Horror in 'HDX' and tells you that you own the season in 'HDX,' it's a lie because every one of the individual episodes is only available in SD anyway. If you click on any episode it will say 'you own SD' and streaming them will only be in SD (sampling one material could obviously be better n picture quality). However it may be Masters of Horror with it's throwback to legacy horror could be the type of show not necessarily hurt to see in SD, the format of it's VHS era precusors.

There are rare examples where Vudu sells content at a higher quality than they have them - perhaps if these truly go to HDX in the future those who buy that will get an upgrade but Ive never seen it happen to know for sure. Under order history it does clearly say HDX (despite content actually being SD only).

You're right. I just tried playing an episode on the Roku, and it's the SD version.

I posted a thread in the Vudu Support Forum. We'll see what happens.

Maybe you should also ask why only 7 episodes in S2? It might confuse them though.
