re: The Fandango at Home (Vudu) Thread - News, Bargains & Codes

If you spend $40 between 12/24 and 1/3, Vudu will send you a $10 code.

*Receive a Vudu Promotional Code (“Code”) that is good for $10.00 on Vudu.com and via participating Vudu apps when you spent $40 using a credit card or gift card to rent or purchase a movie or TV show on Vudu between 12/24/2021 and 1/3/2022 PT (the “Offer Period”). You will receive an email by 11:59pm PT on 1/11/2021 with the Code sent to the email address that is associated with the Vudu account that you used for transactions during the Offer Period. You may have to pay taxes additionally. Code expires on (and must be used by) 1/31/2022 at 11:59pm PT. If lost or stolen, cannot be replaced. No cash value, except as required by law. If the cost of rental or purchase is more than maximum value of the Code, then user must pay the difference. If value of the Code exceeds the cost of the rental or purchase, then that excess will be forfeited. Not valid with any other offer. One-time use only. Not for resale; void if sold or exchanged. Offer valid in the U.S. only. The offer is subject to Vudu's Terms and Policies at http://www.fandango.com/Terms-and-Policies.

re: The Fandango at Home (Vudu) Thread - News, Bargains & Codes

I wonder if this promo will be as screwed up as the Thanksgiving week promo. Meaning many of us spent on content that week and were supposed to receive codes for a free rental for every $20 spent.

Never received the code. Multiple contacts to support who states it will be escalated. Still no resolution nor any answers. VUDU support became so much worse after the merger. And promos don't always work.

End rant.

I’m the opposite, I had no idea about that Thanksgiving promo, then out of the blue I get an email with like 4 discount codes.

Just a heads-up, you can only load three gift cards onto your account, so don't buy two if you already had two on your account like I did previously. Had to go buy a few things so I could deplete one and delete it before I added my newest $65 one.

The 48-Hour Sale looks like the same prices as before the sale.

Kinda tempting to get something like the Mission Impossible UHD set when it would take up a good chunk of the requirement for the $10 code.

Do disc to digital conversions count toward the $40? I want to put a bunch of discs in the basement.

The legalese lwhy quoted didn’t mention it, so maybe? I know I’ve seen it specifically excluded but don’t recall what kind of offers they were.

All those rental promo codes from Black Friday are good through 12/31. (I didn’t check when I received them.)

The two you get for spending $125+ on Gift Cards? The code might expire 12/31, but then the rental credit is good through February.

No, I was referring to the ones from the Black Friday promo. Clearly I should’ve used mine before now.

Anyone else getting the $5 (Fandango or VUDU) reward with each $20 VUDU purchase on a World Elite Mastercard?

For the $40 promo, I’ve bought the original Grinch ($9.99), a Hallmark bundle ($7.99), three UHD Nolan Batmans ($15), and the Burnt Orange Heresy ($6.99). I need to buy something else.

I totally considered that. Maybe if nothing else catches my eye…

Isn't the 3 for $15 WB UHD bundle not count towards the $40 threshold?

Well, I converted 20 discs to digital today, so we’ll see if it ends up counting.

Do you only get 1 $10 cert for spending $40, not like $80 gets 2?

I haven’t seen that restriction mentioned, but nothing would surprise me.

I brought 12 D2D movies a few days ago to get me to 100 for the year. I also brought 3 other movies to give me a total of $40.98 before taxes.I'm hoping to get a $10 credit but I have my doubts.

Looks like D2D purchases are NOT qualified for the $10 promo.

From what I can find, Netflix looks to have gotten cuts with uncensored audio. I'm surprised they also bothered to remove the commercial break transitions, but I guess it's possible. Maybe these cuts were especially made for Netflix, or possibly DVD/Blu-ray release.

Amazon sells both "censored" and "uncensored" cuts of each season.
interesting note on SC on Vudu. It seems S4 and beyond are uncensored. I haven’t noticed the commercials breaks either. Weird why it would all of a sudden not be censored or more why 3 seasons are censored and 3 are not. I only found out bc I was curious and since I bought the seasons, I wanted monies worth. Funny, but I’m happy either way. And at least I have no matter what. And a couple bleeped f bombs in early seasons doesn’t take away from a phenomenal show.
