Watch your email as I received a unique code for 50% off one title this weekend...

Unless you can point to the watchlist feature in Vudu.

My Roku VUDU has a "watchlist". It is a list of about 12 things I've recently watched. All I have to do is go to one and hit resume. As I watch new things, the oldest ones drop off. I use this feature all the time.

I also have a wishlist and add a few things here and there. Still can't figure out how to remove something from there though.

How is Vudu with subtitles? i don't think i have ever seen a foreign movie on it and plan to see Amelie tonight. are they same as bluray, proper and all that?

Yeah, that's really not what that list is intended for. It's more for resuming a title you stopped partway through to go to bed, or switch to a different device, etc. The vast majority of households aren't going to be juggling between more than 3-4 unfinished titles at a time, let alone 20.

Vudu is expecting you do use "My Movies" to look for movies you own that you want to watch.

actually, i think they are all in my watchlist. when i delete or watch a title, the next one on my list populates to make it 20. so 20 is the max that is shown, but the rest, i believe, are still in the queue...

Amelie is on Vudu's Incorrect Aspect Ratio list. It's cropped to 1.85:1. Watch it at Netflix instead. They have the OAR 2.35:1 version.

Subtitles are burned into the video. And they use whichever version is supplied by the studio.

www.vudu.com/movieCredits worked better for me personally, but thank you just the same. Not sure what to use it on though...I'm going to watch the first episode of Abandoned (which is free) and see if I like it enough to buy the season ($6.99, coupon would take it to $5.60+tax). Hopefully it lasts for at least a few days.

thanks Dave. is there a "use by" date?

There's pretty much always a "use by" date. Just check your account and you'll see the expiration date.

Most people in other forums seem to think 7 days but nobody has a real definitive answer. I can't find it either and I've looked all over.

I will say, I'm looking into a few of the bundles but can't pull the trigger on any of them. The Veronica Mars complete series bundle & Key & Peele complete series bundle at both $50 a piece ($40 with coupon) are the only ones to spark my interest. Even then, I feel the need to go get some credits like I did with Burn Notice to soften the blow a bit.

There are a few new monthly $6.99 movie deals I would like to take advantage of and upgrade from my DVDs (A Few Good Men, Bugsy, Perfect Storm). I wish I could add a few to a shopping cart and take that 20% discount. It seems like a waste to use it just to save a buck.

Yeah, I could probably be talked into a couple of those if Vudu would allow a shopping cart function. I guess I'm spoiled because I remember when we had $5 T-Mobile credits every week. I was also hoping for something in the monthly bundle specials but they absolutely stink and were far better last month (4 pack Bad News Bears, Naked Gun trilogy, etc).

I miss those T-Mobile credits.

Just an FYI, but those dvds seem to be D2D eligible, which would be a much cheaper option.

Man, I so fucking glad I digitized my collection before the program crapped on my crap. Can't do future, but most have digital copies anyway...

i'll tell you, it might not be the easiest to get them on the phone, but when they do pick up, Vudu customer care is so good in doing stuff. i had accidentally redeemed a code in SD and not HDX, not sure if it was a purchase or disc to digital (i think disc to digital), but they upgraded me to the HDX for free in minutes. very pleasant every time i have an issue.

Yeah, I've heard that consistently. Vudu is great on the phone. But by the same token and personal experience, they are absolutely horrid in email. CinemaNow is excellent in email, just as a side note.

I agree had to call twice, once to get payment info removed, it was set up for Walmart default and wouldn't let me just add a credit card, since it wasn't working paying through Walmart for some reason. The other took a little while to get worked out. My disc to digital tab quit working and the problem was my cart had something in it that left the program so that was screwing everything up, so they had to reset my cart.

Flixster is easy to deal with by email/chat. VUDU is worthless contacting over email.

Looks like all the MGM movies on that list are only $4.99. Lots of great horror flicks:

Return of the Living Dead
Dolls
Pumpkinhead
Motel Hell
Killer Klowns from Outer Space
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978)
