And look how far back that Vudu thread goes. I don't think posting there will really change anything. If it works, yay. If not, move on.

100% right. I've been using Vudu since the end of 2012 or start of 2013, and I've learned that they don't really fix stuff much. Bookmark the Vudu support thread and watch it - but don't expect them to fix your issues with the D2D software.

Even though it's a royal pain, the best method for discs that don't work is to take it into WalMart and have them convert it.

Have you done that, or has anyone had any experience with taking them in? I'm just wondering about those discs that don't come up (not the discs from a studio that doesn't participate in the program) on the Vudu app. So do they register at the stores? Or are they doing the exact same process as what we do at home? I wouldn't mind paying $2/disc on a lot of some, but if they're just doing the same thing, I'm not going to waste time walking into one of those stores.

Also, if I do the walmart thing, do I have to pay there with cash or credit card, or can I pay with credit from my vudu account? Reason that I'm asking is that I have a $5 credit in my account that I'd like to use to convert some Blu's, but I can't get the software to work on my PC.

I have done around 3-4 transactions at my local Wal-Mart. The absolute only discs I bring in are the ones that don't work at home, and they have all worked at Wal-Mart. They don't actually put your discs into a drive there, they just ensure you have them and code it in the system.

No 10+ discounts when you go in-store, and 95% of the time you go in, no one will know how to work the system. My method: I tell them that we're going to get Vudu Support on the phone, and they magically remember how to do it. Lazy feckers...

From what I've been told, you cannot pay for in-store D2D with Vudu credits. I've never personally tried it, so I can't tell you with 100% certainty.

The biggest problem with taking them into Walmart is that almost none of the employees will know what you're talking about. Usually there's like 1 employee that knows how to do it. Lots of time that person isn't working today or out to lunch and you have to come back later. And every once in a while, their internet is down or they can't connect to the Vudu server. If you can find the employee, and everything works ok, it's a simple 5-minute thing. But most of the time it's a frustrating experience.

The only thing they do with the discs is look at them (to verify that you own them). They don't put them in a machine or anything like that. Sometimes they put a stamp on the inner ring of the discs. They're supposed to do it. I guess it's so that a disc can only be "converted" once. But the ink wipes off easily. And most employees can't find the stamp or don't bother.

You pay right there with Cash or Credit Card.

Madr a try for Scarface; iTunes says it's already been redeemed... so I tried a couple of others, and they all said "invalid code."

Ok removed all titles that were "not valid". Those titles were "Valid" when I posted them.

Scarface, Draft Day, Furious 7, Dope, & Ray were "Redeemed". I guess who ever redeemed did not bother to post that they did.

so is it logical that my Vudu library would be 150 or so off from my UV library?

i'm not quite sure how they both work in tandem, but as some of you know i have been having problems. i got e-mails from UV saying it was fixed and a large portion is showing now. 600+, but i have 800+ in Vudu account. so is that possible, i didn't think so...

My issue is opposite... I have about 300 in my UV account, but only 91 show up in my VUDU account. I know some are TV series/shows, but not over 200 of them. I tried the unlinking and re-linking and still the same..

I know there are licensing issues on some, which is why Vudu won't show Strikeback Season 1 for example. I actually have season 2 of Game of Thrones in my UV and it shows up on Flixster, but not Vudu. I actually sent a trouble ticket to Vudu's support.

From what I understand, the disc to digital program is part of the overall UV program. So if you convert a disc to digital on Vudu, it should show up on all other streaming services. So if you don't see a good amount of movies you converted or a volume in your UV account that don't show up on Vudu, I would contact their customer support and let them know.
