Black Widow is on Disney + and in 4K with all the bonus features. That's why I have no urgency to own a copy for myself.

I made it a point to own all the previous MCU movies, I don't want to go down that road again, but the price is appealing. Don't subscribe to Disney +, and ScarJo is easy on the eyes. Maybe if I find a ten spot in the road in the next few days ...

If you’re not on D+, I think it’s worth it. It was the only time I’ve paid for Disney Premium Access, and I don’t regret it. I just wish I’d liked the movie more.

I thought I saw those on sale at one point? Maybe Fanflix? I could be wrong about which exact sequels,though. I'm glad the original is finally on sale, but it's now on its second 4K transfer. I just want the option to buy *one* of them digitally! Pushing off the purchase for another year.

For $4, I think I'll be upgrading my Cabin in the Woods HD.

I guess I don't understand the relationship between Fanflix and VUDU. You pay one company but watch the movies on a different service? Why doesn't VUDU do the sale themselves?

Fanflix makes deals with the studios, but I'm sure Vudu or Apple gets a small cut when you redeem the movies. Fanflix deals are mainly bulk deals 4 for $19.99, but Lionsgate does smaller deals via Fanflix 3 for $5 or 2 for $4.

Yeah, for whatever reason Fanflix operates as the go-between for studios, and then the services are the redeeming point. There used to be as many as four services (one was probably the late Fandango Now), but it’s gone down to Apple and Vudu, and sometimes Vudu only. Most of my modern Nic Cage collection is from 3/$5 deals, but Warner seems to always be 4/$19.99, which is essentially the same as Vudu’s $4.99 sales except when they involve UHD.

I assume Fanflix kicks in some cash so that it’s a little more profitable for the studios to go through them.

The easiest thing to do is monitor the all streaming deals thread here, but it’s worth signing up for their mailings because some of their offers are single-use only.

So last week I bought the Escape Room: Tournament of champions theatrical and extended cut bundle on Vudu for $9.99. It did not transfer over to Apple.

I figured out why. Apple is selling the extended cut with the theatrical version as a bonus feature. They are not selling the theatrical version. Vudu is selling it the other way around. I did transfer over to MA, but no extended cut.

So strange.
