Ender's Game is the $0.99 Rental Of The Day (HDX).

Once the rental is purchased, you have up to 30 days to start watching.
Once the movie is started, you can watch as many times as you want for 24-hours.

Yes. The 50% Off promotion expires on June 30th. But it's already been extended 3-4 times. So I expect it'll probably get another extension.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

The "50% Off" coupon thingy has been figured out. When you buy any of the TWENTY WalMart/MGM titles listed previously for $9 (which includes an HDX version of that movie), you get a coupon to allow you to purchase the HDX version of any/all of the following TEN movies for $8:

Dances with Wolves
Hoosiers
It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World
Platoon
Princess Bride
Robocop
Rocky
Silence of the Lambs
Terminator
West Side Story

So... if you don't care about the physical media and are primarily interested in the streaming version of these movies, for those listed above the most cost-effective way seems to be to buy one of the WalMart/MGM Blu Ray disks to get the online coupon code. For the other 10 titles on the list, the only way (at present) to get the streaming version is to buy the physical WalMart/MGM title. Those ten are:

Bull Durham
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
Delta Force
Great Escape
Hang 'Em High
Red Dawn
Road House
Rob Roy
Spaceballs
Usual Suspects

For me, since I want Hoosiers, Princess Bride, and Great Escape, I would need to buy Great Escape from WalMart ($9) and then redeem the coupon to get the other two online ($8 ea).

And yet it's still not listed as being UV-Compatible. That's very odd.

If anyone is looking to sell a code for True Detective season 1, please pm me. I'm only interested in redeeming the Vudu portion. Thanks!

Pretty cool. A friend of mine has a huge Kaleidescape collection - he linked it up with VUDU and can share with 6 e-mail addresses, so now I can access that library.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Vudu's offering some new ways to buy TV shows. If you've purchased single episodes, you can credit that amount toward the full season purchase. And if you've bought the SD version, you can credit that towards an HDX upgrade.

http://watch.vudu.com/tv/season-offers/

Season Complete
Loved that episode? Wait till you complete the season.

Here’s a concept: If you’ve previously purchased an episode on VUDU, you can now credit it toward the purchase of the complete season. That makes Season Complete not only a great way to fill out your TV collection and save money, but also try out shows.

Season Upgrade
You never missed an episode. In HDX you’ll never miss a detail.

Make full use of your 1080p TV or prepare your collection for the high definition future. Upgrade your TV seasons to HDX—the best digital 1080p video format around—and we'll even credit your season purchase price toward the upgrade.
I wish they'd add this feature for movies. I'd rent more movies if I knew I'd have the option to apply that price towards a purchase. And there's a couple movies in my Vudu wishlist that are currently SD-only. I've been waiting for them to add the HDX version. But I'd buy it now if I could use that price towards an HDX upgrade in the future.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

I found some boxes of Honey Nut Cheerios at my local Safeway with a promo offer for free Ultraviolet movies: Buy two boxes, get a free movie. There are 10 family films to choose from.

I picked up two boxes and let me soon pick the movie. His choice: "Home Alone 2." Ugh.

More details here/

It's already eligible for D2D. I upgraded my SD version to HDX a couple days ago.

That's odd. It's only been listed as available in sd for as long as I've been checking. I always thought if you did d2d with something only available in sd then you'd get a sd version.

I'm pretty sure there's been a couple other instances of that happening. But I can't remember any particular titles off the top of my head.

There are also a few movies that aren't listed on Vudu, but are eligible for D2D. Rope (Hitchcock) was one of them (although they recently added it to the site). It would only appear in your My Vudu section. It didn't even turn up in search results after you bought it.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Vudu is running a sale of select Comedy Central seasons, $5.99 SD and $9.99 HDX.

Key & Peele (Seasons 1 & 2)
Inside Amy Schumer (Seasons 1 & 2)
Kroll Show (Seasons 1 & 2)
Drunk History (Season 1)
Nathan for You (Season 1)
Broad City (Season 1)

Perhaps the best deal of all, though, is @midnight. Season 1 is listed as containing 81 episodes. Personally, I would be happy with just SD for this series, but it is a steal even at $10.

Thanks for the heads up. I jumped on that one. Since it's a Season Pass, I'm guessing they'll keep adding episodes.

As a heads up if you want to watch and not keep, Amazon Prime has Inside Amy Schumer 1, Kroll Show 1, Drunk History 1, and Nathan for You 1.

In for midnight as well. Ten bucks for 30 hours of content is a steal. I consider anything that's a dollar an hour a good deal

Had no previous knowledge of @midnight but I'm in for a Season Pass in HD for $9.99

It also seems that I had some soon to expire credit (mid-July) in a secondary VUDU acct. so it's "FREE" for me.

Couple of minutes into @midnight and I haven't laughed once, but I have thought "this is stupid" a couple of times

the show is hilarious. BUT, it also is very dependent on the comedians on the panel for that show.

I completely plan on giving it a chance, 2-3 eps at least. At least I didn't lose much if I don't like any of it

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

It is definitely getting better.

Spoiler:
There was a picture posted on Twitter of a locker room and they unwittingly got a naked player photobombing on the back and the picture was removed immediately but not before it was retweeted and you had to guess what the next tweet was and one of the wrong options was "PlayerName Goes Long" and that had me

Basically if you avoid most of the comedians or panelists you've never heard of, you will be fine. It's a funny show when it has a couple of familiar names on it.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Unforgettable: Season One is on sale for $14.99 (HDX). That's a pretty good price for 22 episodes. Season Two is also $14.99, but it's only 13 episodes.

Parks & Recreation is $14.99 a season. Each season is around 20 episodes, so that's a decent price. Season One is $4.99 (only 6 episodes).

Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit is on sale for $9.99 (HDX).

There's a Double Feature Bundle for The Raid: Redemption and The Raid 2. It's $20.99 (HDX) and includes a bonus featurette.
