But to my knowledge Netflix doesn't remove any shows that they themselves own. Netflix branded shows might be removed but that's because someone else holds the rights, so why would Netflix sell it as part of their service (instead of the righstholders selling it off themselves to other services)?

Re: Netflix - News & Discussion

And so it begins:
https://www.slashfilm.com/1018193/he...-the-streamer/

In a move that will undoubtedly cause some ire, Netflix quietly announced that one of its first original series is leaving the platform in October. "Hemlock Grove," the horror-fantasy series that ran for three seasons, will be taken off of Netflix on October 22. /Film has reached out to Netflix for comment on this decision.
This is the problem with what Netflix labels as their "originals" because it's hard to know what they fully own and what they have exclusive (but eventually expiring) licenses on, but this was one of their very first "originals."

This could easily end up happening with House of Cards and Orange is the New Black as well.

This already happened awhile ago with The Killing. The final season was made for Netflix, but was licensed from FOX. It's long left the service.

The Netflix "Tudum" Live stream is up right now. They are making announcements and showing trailers of new Netflix content.
