ugh Directv is the worst. I guarantee they will fight to get Hulu Plus off the Roku. They still wont support HBOGO through it so I cant see them leaving Hulu there.

DirecTV owning Hulu might mean the end of NBC shows (or at least first-run NBC shows) as well, since Comcast owns NBC/Universal.

Yeah, I kind of hate the thought of DirecTV getting this. I know Roku is working with Dish for Dishworld, but as much as I like the thought of IPTV on my Roku 3, I really have no interest, at all, in Arab Idol or Indian Idol Junior.

My guess is that at best Hulu will secure one of the three networks in terms of first run shows. I would guess that will be ABC. I'd expect Netflix and/or Amazon to grab one of them or possibly both of the other two. I'm actually going to go ahead and speculate that the following happens:

1) Hulu becomes an included perk of DTV subscriptions (with cooresponding rate increase of course) with ABC shows. If they can't pull the channel off of Roku, they will let it wither on the vine. It will be available for $10 a month to non-DTV subscribers. Part of the new content will be NFL-related.

2) Amazon becomes the new home of NBC first run with a long term deal.

3) Fox signs a short term deal with Netflix for a year or two and fully intends to launch its own platform since they self identify as likely to leave the airwaves over Aereo.

I wonder why you can't get HBOGO on Roku with DirecTV but you can on other devices (I have DTV and can watch HBOGO on XBOX).

It's the same with Comcast I know. I believe it is likely the particulars of the contract with the operators because you can get it with many others (like Cox IIRC).
