I never knew anyone who used them, and it never sounded like a good business plan (1 hour shipping for free), so I guess it was inevitable. Kozmo.com has closed down.

Amazing....
I was just this second coming here to ask if anyone had heard anything. They owe me for a wrong order from back in Feb.: their site is down, and you can't even place an order by phone. I Just got off the phone with my CC company disputing the charge.
I was worried that they might be on shaky ground, but here in NYC they have a HUGE new billboard over by Bloomies and I saw their trucks several times over the past few days, so I figured they were still around and doing OK.....

They were until yesterday. I used them over the weekend, and talked to the people there several times. I would guess no one knew this was going to happen except the higher ups. Too bad really. Their pricing wasn't necessarily the greatest, but what do you expect for convenience? They were great.

Good riddance...
They tried to charge me for a late return on some DVDs that I dropped in one of their stupid boxes a day before it was due. Good riddance to trash.

Actually, if you called them about it, they probably would've taken the fee off and put a free rental or 2 on your account. Their CS was the greatest. Many times I would order something and get a call back saying, "We just ran out of that flavor, so we were going to take that item off your bill and just replace it with this flavor for free, is that OK?" 7-11 sure as heck doesn't do that when they were out of something!
Put the 2 stories above together and it shows exactly why they didn't make money!
