Where can you return SEALED items (DVDs, Software, Video Games, CDs) without a receipt for store credit? Ive always used Media Play....but i think they're on to me...plus it is a bit of a hike, and the selection is limited. Where else can you make returns without a receipt?

Used to be that you could do it at Best Buy but boy have the got crappy over the ast few months. "Limit of 3 returns over a lifetime"

I've had luck w/ Suncoast. I've taken some of the "freebies" back (those w/o any damage to the cases) and haven't had a problem. As long as it's something they sell I can't imagine why they would care.

I have a problem with people who return things to stores knowing that they were not purchased there (why do you think Best Buy instituted the "crappy" policy that you can only return three items without receipt per your lifetime?), but at least you talking about store credit, not cash refund.

To answer your question, either return it to the place you bought it -rolleyes- or ebay it.

Why can't you return it to the place you bought it from? When you return it to a B&M that you didn't purchase it from, all you're doing is giving them reason to institute bad return policies, causing them to suspect people when they return something they actually bought there, and raising the bottom line so items will be more expensive in teh future.

Next time you complain about high prices and lousy deals from a B&M, think about how you helped contribute to it.

A return w/out a receipt only happens at any B&M if you can find a new returns employee. Otherwise, it doesn't fly. Your better off on Ebay or Half.com.

Guess Suncoast and Wal-Mart aren't B&M stores.

I once returned something to Park Opticians (a pair of glasses, if you must know).

Well, don't know about suncoast, but Wal-Mart will turn you away if you don't have a receipt. I've known too many people who try and fail.

Suncoast is a definite yes as long as they have the title in their system.

Go with ebay. I just ebayed one of the recent MGM catalog titles and someone payed me nearly triple what you can find it for (easily) online.

Is this true? I thought it was three free returns per year.

Maybe it's a regional thing. Our Wal-Marts give you three no-receipt returns every three months, and they'll tell you when you're next eligible to do it again.

Here is something funny:

For Christmas I bought my Dad the first boxed set of James Bond movies (VHS). He already had Dr. No and I knew when buying it he already had it.

So anyways...The schemer takes it to Best Buy and returns the new duplicate movie for store credit....I was like are you kidding me, I couldnt believe they actually took it.

It was from Buy.com
