I ordered the Boondock Saints from absound.ca about 5 or 6 weeks ago. I had never gotten the disk and called them a couple of weeks ago. They told me I had to wait 12 weeks to report it lost in the mail, as it apparently shipped a week after it was bought. I accepted that the post office lost it or something, but I just checked my bank statment and I see absound.ca credited me for the purchase. But, two things...
1. The credit came with no explanation whatsoever, and I still want my movie. 2. The credit was not for the same amount as was charged, it was less. Apparently the exchange rate is different or something. Normally, I wouldn't care, it is only 70 cents, but in this case I do because (see # 1). Anybody else have this problem or a similar one. BTW, I ordered the Boondock Saints about a week before it was even posted on this board, having found the deal separately, and I know many of the people who did order on this board, after me, got their movies, in some cases, multiple copies. This really pisses me off. Dan |
I've ordered from them and never had a problem. They refunded you the price they charged in Canadian. If the exchange rate changes in that time, there's nothing they can do.

A&B? Is this store located in Lothar, Mass? That is where I am from and I once recall seeing a store called A&B. It was a small antique shop on the corner of Freeman and Longendale. One day, my son and I went there to buy something for his then wife (now ex-wife). When we were there, he accidentally knocked over a shelf of Miss Christensen Sour Apples. That was $50 my son did NOT have.
