CDNow - How quickly do they usually restock items that are "backordered"?

I don't really like CDNow too much cause they're expensive and their tracking is not realtime at all but....
Anyway, I have some credit there and an unused $50 giftcertificate.com and was considering getting 39 Steps (Criterion) and Third Man (Criterion) but they're both backordered. How long will I have to wait for these to ship? Anybody have much experience with this? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Or I am thinking about getting Seven Samurai and Lady Vanishes (Criterions) instead, which are in stock, but not sure if I want these two now or not and would prefer the other two instead but not if it is going to take forever. Thanks...
