Script timeouts, page loading fails every second time, takes forever to do anything, bad design, frames all over the place.

Yep, it sucks! I can't think of too many other sites which suck quite as bad. :)

I have to agree there. Plus about 90% of the titles you click on have about no information or picture or anything. The only good thing about them is they offer good service, everything else is pretty shabby.

What do others think about them?

I ordered 3 dvds from them to be shipped to a friend overseas. One dvd was placed on backorder but they shipped the other two right away. The backordered dvd was shipped a week later. Good thing, this "split shipping" no unnecessary waiting. (and may avoid customs charges.)

I ordered three there last night so we'll see how they go in regards to service.

I've already got an email telling me that ID4 SE is on backorder. One down, two to go.

At least they are quick to send the messages saying the dvd's are on backorder. I ordered one on special order and within a few hours I already had a message telling me it would take longer. A few weeks later, I got another Email saying they were still waiting and another week it shipped, not bad for service I guess.

I ordered 2 dvd's last week and received a confirmation "your order has been shipped". Since I am maybe 10 min away from an hmv store, I figure a week is too long to wait, and I still havent received them. I cant tell you what a pain it was just to get the bloody order in (crashing, "server busy", etc etc and forever)
all in all the hmv site sucks the worst in my opinion!!!

I ordered a DVD with my Garageband GC. I ordered it on Saturday and I got it Tuesday. Pretty fast IMO!

It doesn't matter if you live 10min away from an HMV store. My DVD came from Missisauga (Ontario) and I live near Montréal (Québec).

The order I placed with HMV went very well and arrived in California pretty darn quick.

I would agree that the site leaves much to be desired but I have seen many worse than them :eek: though I've never ordered from most of those really flakey web sites.

I can't complain, I got my GCs and got free DVDs for them... I'm feeling No Pain! http://sam.wood.tripod.com/smilies/afro.gif
