I emailed express.com asking them to remove my account and user information from thier system, here is what they said :-(
______________
Dear Customer,

Thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately, the system does not offer
the option to delete existing accounts from the database. I apologize
for the inconvenience.

Sincerely,

Michael Berlin

This is the first time I've ever run across a company that won't delete a customer's information when they request it.

I wonder if they're too busy updating their resumes to do it :-)

Personally I think that's just an out and out lie by any company. I've had this conversation once with totale.com where I placed an order over a year ago that I eventually cancelled. So I just deleted all my information as best I could from this end and hoped they didn't keep a copy somewhere else.

Express probably keeps all their accounts to 'protect' their new customer coupons like buy.com. Of course after they get hacked and their customer database stolen this creates new problems..
